As striking to look at as it is to hear, the Balsac Jaws o' Death guitar is a custom mahogany guitar riffing off the classic Flying V shape made famous more than 50 years ago. The body, which features a custom graphic and a flat-top with beleved edges, has 9V-powered active internals and a string-thru-body backplate.
The all-black hardware on the guitar includes locking Schecter tuner knobs, knurled metal on-body controls, and 24 X-Jumbo frets nested into the ebony fretboard. With all-mahogany construction, including the 3-piece set-neck, this guitar produces clear and bright tones, giving you all the versatility to get Mike Derk's heavy metal sound or to go your own way.
Body & Neck Construction
Featuring a set-neck design with Schecter's Ultra Access neck-body joint shape, this guitar is mahogany through and through, giving it a rock-solid feel and excellent tonality straight out of the box. The neck is Schecter's standard 3-piece build, layered with an ebony fretboard.
Hardware & Accessories
The guitar has all-black hardware, including on-body controls for volume and a push-pull multi-voice switch. The guitar's internals are also 9V-powered and fully active, giving you additional functionality and control before an amplifier ever gets involved.
Design & Feel
With a solid, stable body and an ultra-thin C neck, this guitar is built for fast playing and maximal stability.
