Review Summary
An homage to the classic hollow-body look and sound, this guitar features an arch-top maple body and mahogany 3-piece set-neck build. With passive-acoustic internals, the resonant ability of the body shines through with bright and clear tones, giving everything to the Duncan Designed humbucker pickups and on-body chrome controls. In addition to other pro-level components, this model features an upgraded Bigsby Archtop B70 bridge to bring out that hollow-body brightness and tonality.
The fretboard, a layer of ebony over the mahogany neck pieces, has 22 medium-height frets and dot inlays for easy fingerwork, and the guitar comes strung with the timeless Ernie Ball Regular Slinky .010-gauge strings. Whether you play it plugged in or au natural, this vintage-styled guitar's professional build and components will only add to what you bring into the room.
Body & Neck Construction
This guitar has a hollow maple arch-top body with classic soundholes and a 3-piece set neck shaped from mahogany, providing stiffness and incredible natural resonance right out of the box.
Hardware & Accessories
The most noteworthy upgrade on this guitar - the Bigsby B70 with Roller TOM - allows for whammy-like vibrato and better pitch control, while the two volume and two tone knobs plus 3-way humbucker tone switch allow you to control everything else. With this much accessibility right at your fingertips, you're able to dial in on your ideal sound.
Design & Feel
Like most hollow-bodies, this guitar provides a strong rich sound whether you play it soft or loud, giving you incredible versatility in any playing style. A thin-C mahogany neck allows for quick handling and maintains stiffness while reducing overall neck diameter, and the mid-height frets provide a very nuanced feel.
