Review Summary
The Stiletto Studio bass is built on the Schecter philosophy: take a simple, straightforward instrument made with quality materials, and deliver the goods with premium components and accessories. In this case, it's a basswood body with a maple neck, plus house-brand pickups and hardware. The result is a rumbling golden tone, and a bass guitar that feels alive in your hands.
Construction & Build
It's not just about the materials, it's about how they go together; good thing Schecter has that covered. The body is basswood, and the bolt-on neck has excellent cutaway access for a rock-solid and connected feel when playing, plus a truly great range of control at the top of the scale. The neck itself, shaped from maple, is just another solid piece of the equation, providing phenonemal resonance and tonality for any style of playing.
Components & Hardware
Schecter opted to use their own Diamond Bass pickups for this build, with a SuperRock MM at the bridge for a rich buttery tone. These pickups are powerful, and paired with active internals and 2-band EQ control, you'll have the full ability to really dial in on the perfect sound. Other on-body controls include volume and tone knobs in knurled metal, and Schecter's own precision tuners and an S-Tek bridge round out the package for a bass that's ready for the big-time.
