This arch-top guitar, made from mahogany and maple, sounds just as good as it looks. Schecter knows what they're doing and it's never more evident than with their Custom series. With a careful selection of tonewoods and rock-solid build quality, Schecter is creating instruments that are worthy of the most demanding musicians out there.
Build & Construction
A stiff and resonant mahogany body, with a solid maple top, is a great place to start when exploring what gives this guitar its rich tonality. Stiff, solid tonewoods allow for better natural projection and less lost energy when the strings transfer vibrations through the body, and mahogany is ranked among the best, with maple only adding to the goodness. A set-neck construction is also slightly stiffer than a bolt-on neck, creating a more solid joint and further reducing the dampening effect some wood joints can have on sound.
Components & Accessories
This guitar features something not often seen: the Ernie Ball Compensated Nut, which allows the string action to match the curvature of the fretboard. The guitar also features a TonePros T3BT tailpiece, Schecter locking tuners, on-body controls for volume and tone, and the classic Schecter USA Pasadena pickups.
