Why did I hesitate

Amazing. Quick release, smooth pan/tilt. So fast. Sorry I waited so long to pull the trigger on this. Increased the speed of shots in the field tenfold. I shoot documentary film and interviews. No issue at all sprinting around with a canon c80 rigged out on top and getting the shots on diverse terrain.

Great investment.

This was a big investment for me, but after several months of use I'm glad I got it. It's made life so much easier with quick adjustments and smoother movements (much smoother!). The ability to lay the legs flat on the ground is a big deal for low angle shots. It's lightweight and really easy to carry around. Another plus, but it was an additional purchase is the head to slider adapter, the ability to move easily between the two is priceless. Add all these benefits up and its well worth the price IMHO. I love this tripod, and will no doubt enjoy it for years to come.

The best tripod/head combo I've seen for smaller camera setups

I've used a Video 20 head with Sachtler sticks for 30 years. When I needed a lighter head for my mirrorless setup, this caught my eye. It's brilliant. It sets ups very fast, is much easier to set up alone, is very solid, and has an available slider adapter that really extends the looks you can achieve on a small shoot. I'd highly recommend this for smaller camera setups.
