The jury is out on this typically overpriced but ostensibly convenient accessory.  I’ve used it over a number of production days and it does work as advertised, however I find the plastic build quality to be a disappointment in terms anticipated product lifetime, and when set as indicated by the product manual, it still requires a bit of futzing to re-level the head from setup to setup.  This is because, rather than being entirely loose as when a standard head clamp is unthreaded, this clamp only somewhat loosens the head. So it makes rebalancing a more sticky proposition (at least with my 25lb rig on a Video15 head).  I’m going to keep it, mostly because I use it on one of the new flowtech tripods and a standard tie down clamp is too wide to allow full range of ball head motion.

The jury is out

A very unique alternative to the classic star spinner that tightens a fluid  head down on a tripod.  Make adjusting a fluid head quicker but you do need to set it up correctly.

Sachtler cool adjuster

I simply can't imagine how I lived without it all these years! It makes an irritating step soooo easy. Just squeeze the clamp, move the the head and release. Also, I haven't tested it, but I'm pretty sure this would work with any tripod head, not just a Sachtler.
