Sublime Audio Quality
The MixPre-6 features Sound Devices' new Kashmir microphone preamps. These high-performance, ultra-low-noise, discrete, Class-A mic preamps were hand-crafted by Sound Devices. The Kashmir mic preamps feature a -130dBV noise floor, analog limiters and new 32-bit A-to-D converters to ensure the highest quality audio recordings that far surpass those of other recorders using simple off-the-shelf IC-based mic preamps.

It features a responsive capacitive touch screen for incredibly simple and intuitive operation and a bright, IPS technology, sunlight-readable color LCD for the ultimate in convenient navigation. Intuitive Operation
The MixPre-6 bridges the gap between sound engineers, musicians and YouTubers with user-friendly navigation featuring Basic and Advanced modes. Designed to allow a user to start recording right out of the box, Basic mode takes the guesswork out of audio recording and is intended for stereo recording applications, such as interviews, video blogs, music or podcasts. The Advanced mode offers more experienced audio users access to multi-channel recording and advanced settings such as metering, routing, timecode, mic pre gain, stereo and Mid/Side channel linking, channel phase invert, delay, headphone presets and more. What's more, the MixPre includes integrated Bluetooth Smart for easy connection, control and metering via iOS and Android mobile devices.

Advanced Mixing Capabilities
The MixPre-6 is a full-featured mixer that offers ergonomic gain control knobs for fast and accurate mixing. Other key features include pan and soloing plus easy-to-see ring LED metering per channel. The MixPre-6 also includes a 3.5mm jack for headphone monitoring with user-programmable presets from our custom-designed powerful, wide-bandwidth headphone amp.

A Videographer's Dream
As an added benefit to DSLR users, the MixPre-6 has a retractable 1/4-20 mounting capacity making it a perfect pairing for a wide variety of cameras. This design allows for solid, low-profile tripod/camera mounting. Because the male and female 1/4-20 threads are captive, they cannot be lost and are always available. Capable cameras can feed Timecode to the device over the MixPre's micro camera input, which provides perfect synchronization of sound and video. Timecode can also be fed into the MixPre's 3.5mm input from an external TC generator. The MixPre-6's micro camera input can also receive "record triggers" from popular cameras, which automatically starts and stops the MixPre's recording via the camera's record button.

Flexible Powering Options
For the ultimate in portability and convenience, the MixPre-6 has multiple powering options. It can be powered from AA batteries in a convenient detachable sled of either four or eight cells. Also available is a sled that offers powering from up to two hot-swappable Sony L-Mount Li-Ion batteries. The Li-lon batteries offer the ultimate in battery life. Additionally, the entire recorder can also be powered from a laptop's USB-C or USB-A connectors offering convenient connection and powering with just one cable. For applications where AC is available, Sound Devices offers an optional AC adapter as well.

The Musician Plugin brings the essence of computer-based music production software to the super-compact MixPre-6 audio recorder. With features like Overdub, Punch In/Out, Vocal Air, Reverb and Metronome, musicians and songwriters now have an easy to use, portable tool for creating high quality, multi-layered songs anywhere and anytime that inspiration grabs them.

Ambisonics Plugin
The Ambisonics Plugin introduces ambisonic and binaural recording, playback and monitoring capabilities to the MixPre-6 and MixPre-10T.

The SAM-32SD has been optimized and extensively tested to ensure fast and flawless performance when used with MixPre Series of audio recorders (MixPre-10M, MixPre-6M, MixPre-3M, MixPre-10T, MixPre-6 and MixPre-3) and the 6-Series production mixer/recorder line (688, 664, 633). Versatile design for various applications with lots of storage options incl. a removable Front Pouch (e.g. for batteries). Includes many Stingray mixer bag staples like the kickstand. The KSTGMIX Stingray MixPro portable workstation is designed for the Sound Devices MixPre-3 and MixPre-6 and also fits the Tascam DR-70D, Tascam DR-701D, Zoom F4 and F8 mixer recorders. More than an ordinary bag, the Stingray MixPro can help turn a small recorder into a portable workstation. Because these mixers are jam-packed with features and used in a multitude of applications and situations, the K-Tek design team emphasized easy access all around, coupled with operating versatility.

Sized for the MixPre3 and MixPre6, the Stingray MixPro features multiple assets to accommodate all common working styles and methods, including front and back openings for mounting and a versatile front flap to attach wireless receivers. The removable Front Pouch storage compartment is perfect to keep external power options and large enough to hold common location mixing batteries (like an NP-1 style battery with cup or portable USB-C battery tanks). Oversized MOLLE-style straps accommodate additional accessories ranging from wireless receivers to other Stingray bags and pouches and are positioned on the front of the bag along with the Front Pouch.

For convenient table-top operation, a built-in adjustable kickstand enables convenient control interface access and comfortable viewing whether the user is sitting or standing. The multi-layer walls feature the same strong protective exterior and soft orange high-contrast interior that K-Tek's Stingray bags have become famous for. Dual curved zippers encircle each side panel to fully access inputs, outputs and controls. A clear vinyl shield to cover the exposed top opening can be folded back or easily removed. The internal vertical frames give the MixPro the same rigidity and strength that has made the larger Stingray bags the preferred portable workstations of choice.

The combined front and bottom flap allows front mounting, opens wide to access the internal battery packs and media compartment on the bottom of MixPre units and can even reattach to the back of the MixPro. With MOLLE-style straps outside and inside, attaching accessories is a breeze in any configuration. Multiple D-Rings allow use with the optional K-Tek Waistbelt (KSWB1) or the included shoulder strap. The KSTGMIX Stingray MixPro portable workstation is designed for the Sound Devices MixPre-3 and MixPre-6 and also fits the Zoom F4 and F8 mixer recorders.
