Needs a new cable to use with new MacBook Pros
It DOES work for new MacBook Pros. BUT... not with the supplied cable. If you connect it USB-C to USB-A (using a dongle) it will format. Or buy a decent Thunderbolt USBC - USBC cable and it works perfectly. Like the Cable Matters one I have. Bit lame not to supply functioning cables with the drive, but hey ho. It works and it's great.
G-Force is G-Drive For Editing
I love the speed and ease of the G-Drive. It is now my video editing drive. It has performed as listed on Western Digitals site. I will be buying more in the future. I just wished I would have waited a week because now they offered a backpack with a purchase of over $500 and I spent $600 and no backpack deal. Timing is everything - next time I will wait a while before jumping.
