Great price point for the value

I am so glad I ended up going with this drive. It is so much easier cost wise for the same performance and storage of buying portable drives. This one's size still makes it portable but not such as if it was a raid drive. Yes the fan comes on, it is a bit noisy as others have brought up, but it is not a deal breaker. With the fan running it reminds me of turning the drive off, so look at it as an advantage, rather than complaining about the fan noise. Performance is great and no issues so far. I've had mine over a year.

This Drive is Horrible

This brand of drives has gone so far downhill. Tell me why I'm purchasing a $1000 plus drive for it to not work when I attempt to format it for Windows? After hours of troubleshooting there is no way to get this drive to work on Windows. The support page is non existent with every ounce of software and drivers no longer supported or being developed. The concept that every drive you ship is for Mac out of the box is ludicrous. I've bought drives from you guys for years but that is no more.

Easily my favorite drive

I've been using G Drives for 6 years and have always loved them. This one blows everything else out of the water! I recently switched to a 2 computer workflow and needed a drive that could go between the two computers with everything on it. This does just that! I work in Video Production and do 4 camera raw stacked timelines with color and effects and this drive doesn't flinch. To me, this is just about as close to an internal drive that you can take with you on the road as it gets. Very pleased and excited by the potential of future iterations!

Although the G-Drive Pro was advertised to be compatible with a windows computer via reformat, it is not. After 3 attempts with their support team, that was their conclusion. I am very disappointed that I cannot use the product. My other experiences with WD were all good.
