The WM-Connect Wireless Connector for iOS Wingman and 6-Series Mixer/Recorder is a durable and reliable tool designed to enhance your audio recording experience. This high-quality, innovative device offers a user-friendly way to gain affordable, remote control of your 688, 664, and 633 mixers using the Wingman, an iOS-based application. The WM-Connect, in conjunction with the free Wingman app, provides clear views of metering and timecode display on the larger screens of iOS smartphones and tablets. The intuitive touchscreen interface is designed for ease of use, providing quick remote-control access to key 6-Series functionality. With the WM-Connect and Wingman, users can view meters, timecode, and framerate, start and stop audio recordings, enter and edit metadata, arm, disarm and name tracks, circle a take, designate false takes, manage and create sound reports on the mixer, and even email sound reports directly from their iOS device. This device utilizes Bluetooth Smart USB Technology. The WM-Connect is a compact, Bluetooth Smart USB dongle that effortlessly inserts into the USB-B port of the mixer, via one of the included USB A-to-B adapters. It can also be inserted into the keyboard port of an attached CL-12 linear fader controller for cart-based workflows. When multiple 6-Series mixers are on set and equipped with a WM-Connect, Wingman will display all available devices within range, allowing users to efficiently switch connection from one mixer to another from within the app. The WM-Connect Wireless Connector is compatible with iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch running iOS v8.0 or later, and 688, 664 & 633 running 6-Series firmware v4.00 or later. It offers a typical line of sight range of about 50 feet, depending on RF conditions.
