This is one of those items that serves a unique need and does it well. I bought this to power a Sennheiser MKH- 416T mic that I bought on eBay for a bargain price. The mic was sold as "Non-working." My guess was that the seller didn't know what T-Power was and tried to power the mic from phantom power, which doesn't work. I was right! now I have a beautiful working MKH-416T mic for not a lot of money! If you need T-power for an old mic, this is the way to go. Also, being made by Sennheiser, I'm sure it will last forever.
