Best High Quality for the buck
I love these headphones for all genres of music, everything from metal to classical to electronic sounds absolutely perfect without any EQ. You can drive these from high end amps, or even something as simple as a recent year MacBook Pro. Splurge on these, and experience what you have been missing with lesser headphones. Adorama also has the best price I have seen when on sale!.

Incredible headphones ?? ??
I bought these with a promotional price. I don't regret spending money on this. I am using it for recordings. Clear and crisp sound!!! I hear all details thru headphones. I recommend these to everyone and anyone!

Sennheiser HD800 rocking my soul
Unmatched sound stage and clarity. Bass is a little lacking but mids and highs are to perfection. One of the top 3 best headphones I own.

Astoundingly good
I upgraded from an HD 58X, so my experience is mostly based on that comparison. I wouldn't call myself an audiophile, yet I can still appreciate this is an astoundingly good product for most types of media.
Detail is extreme. I can listen to a track and pay attention to one set of instruments, then listen to the same track again focusing on something else for a totally different experience. I'm hearing noises and footsteps in games like Overwatch and Hunt Showdown, that I'd never even heard before.
I love the soft material on the earcups and headband. The earcups are a bit larger than my 58X, and surround my ear entirely, almost touching my neck and cheek. Clamp pressure is perfect, it sort of just floats onto your head and stays there.

Comfortable and great sounding headphone
Great headphone, very happy with this purchase. I was in doubt between the HD800s and the Focal Clear. Given the complaints about the Focal headband cracking, I decided on the HD800s. Glad I picked the Sennheiser. This one is very comfortable, even for people with a large head like me. The large cup doesn?t touch my ears, and doesn?t become sweaty after hours of wearing. The sound is great and detailed. With a neutral amplifier, it?s a little light on the lower frequencies, but it works very well with an equalizer. You do need a good audio source though, this headphone is so detailed that you do hear every flaw in the recording.
