These hold a long charge and are small and durable. The only downside is a small latency, but the other positives make it worth it.

Top notch gear! Truly the best in my opinion but it?s about time sennheiser starts making improvements to this AVX system. It?s been 6 years since its release and it?s exactly the same. We could see some improvements to the size, as many other systems are getting smaller. Their other small model is terrible. I can?t wait for the day that these things become truly wireless. Where the Lavs are tiny and charge in a port. I think graphene technology will make room for this to happen but I?m not sure how many years, 5+? Im looking forward to it.

I've only been able to test / play with this product so can only rate it 4 stars having know idea as to utility in production or longevity. That said I would give it a 5 star after I have time to honestly assess it warranting 5 starts. I am giving it 4 stars because it is IMPRESSIVE as to build quality and ez integration with the previously purchased AVX ME-2 Lavaliere kit. Sennheiser gets a A+++ for making the use of the ecosystem no distraction, no time wasted on calculating anything for implementing use under stressful production environments.

This was my first Lavalier purchase and I am extremely satisfied with my purchase. Initially, because it was my first, I was little worried that it would all be really complicated. It was anything but complicated. The instructions are easy and simple to follow. Had no issues setting the mic up on my camera. Literally, in just a couple of minutes, we were recording with great audio. I would recommend this set to anyone shopping for a legitimate, easy to use Lavalier microphone.

I’ve used the AVX lav kit for over a year. The signal strength is great and the audio is crisp and clean. This microphone is great for sit down interviews due to the small capsule size. It is easy to hide on a shirt lapel or blouse. The only time I had trouble with the AVX was filming a story in Washington, DC. I would get digital distortion and signal loss standing only a few feet from the subject. However, it was infrequent and did not delay our filming more than a few seconds here and there. My only other complaint is you’ll need to purchase additional batteries depending on how much you are using them. The battery life lasts a few hours, however, they do take a while to charge. I would recommend spare batteries and a USB power bank.

This is the professional standard by which others are judged. I replaced my Audio Technica System 10 with the Sennheiser and am very impressed by the increase in connection and sound quality. I like the Sennheiser design - I can go directly into the XLR connector on my C100 without the need for adapters or mounts (though both are included in the event you want to use this with a DSLR). The belt pack is also among the smallest I have used, which makes it easy to conceal on a belt or in a pocket. The pairing process was quick and easy, and after a dozen or so projects, I have yet to experience any connection issues, even when the transmitter is 100+ feet away. The internal limiter system is a little different, and this mic runs hotter than both my A/T and RODE counterparts, but I haven't experienced any distortion. This will certainly be my go-to lav mic.

I purchased the Sennheiser AVX system for our documentary shoot in Tunis, Tunisia and without a doubt, it is the best wireless system I have ever used. Not one issue with this system. I powered it up, the system paired itself and I was absolutely amazed with the clarity. I will make a second purchase when i save money for it. Worth every cent! Freelancers, I highly highly recommend this Wireless System! Indoors and outdoors - ZERO ISSUES!
