Review Summary
The SecureIt Tactical STEEL 6 is a modular system that easily converts any traditional safe, locking cabinet or closet to store a combination of any six MSRs, modern sporting rifles and traditional firearms.
The CradleGrid system was developed under contract with US Army Special Forces and is now available to civilians. Straight line access and organizational awareness are essential factors that make this kit an integral part in the advancement of proper firearm storage.
What it does
Properly stores any combination of six firearms. The upper saddle adjusts on back panel to cradle any long gun at the barrel, rail or magwell leaving room for attached optics. The lower interlocking stock bases secure any size gun stock within a tiered channel. The flexible system secures each firearm individually preventing contact with the containers interior or other firearms.
Why you need it
There are a number of considerations to factor into your firearm storage choice from accessibility and firearm type to security and local gun safety laws. SecureIt has isolated and addressed these concerns with a modular platform that adapts to the changing gun preferences in today's market. Straight-line access offers obtainable firearms at arms length without moving other guns or gear. Organizational awareness gives you a quick visual survey allowing you to inspect each firearm at a glance and determine what is needed for your current situation.
Installation in most safes and cabinets takes about 15 minutes.
Safe Installation:
Remove all or a portion of the stock safe interior. Set lower panel in place and mark holes with a Sharpie or other marker. Drill 1/4" pilot holes and insert anchors, then mount the panel. Mount the upper panel directly above the lower.
Anchor Detail - The drywall anchors are designed to be used in both gun safes and standard drywall (safe rooms or home vaults)
For Safe applications, cut the point off of the drywall anchors. Pre-drill 1/8" holes in the marked locations then insert the anchor with a Phillips screwdriver. Avoid power drivers as they can damage the anchor
Lower Saddle - Attach carriage bolts and wing nuts loosely to lower saddle then slide saddles into shelf slots on shelf.
The shelf is positioned in the safe so the rifles lean to the back and sit in the upper saddles.
Place upper saddles on back panel and adjust to fit your rifles and shotguns
Integrate all firearm types within any safe or secured cabinet.
The SecureIt STEEL 6 retrofit kit allows you to upgrade virtually any gun safe or cabinet to a modern firearms storage system.
