I got this cable to feed audio from a Tascam DR-44WL to the mic input of a Nikon D610 DSLR. The cable reduces the line-level output of the Tascam to a level that the mic preamp of the Nikon can handle without distortion, assuming that the audio levels are set in the Nikon appropriately. This setup allows me to use higher-quality microphones when desired, feeding them into the XLR connectors and preamps of the Tascam. Works great!
Bought this to send audio from my Zoom recorder headphone jack into my Panasonic GH4. Works beautifully.
The Sescom LN2MIC-ZOOMH4N cable features a -25dB L Pad attenuator on both audio channels to reduce the Prosumer Line Level output (-10dBV) to the cameras mic input sweet spot level. The cable is designed with the proper impedances to assure maximum voltage transfer and low noise operation. The cable shield is isolated on the camera end to prevent shield noise from directly coupling into the camera connector ground.
The cable allows users to go directly from the audio recorder into the camera, creating a compact and elegant interface solution. All resistors values are 1% metal film to assure similar voltage attenuation between the stereo inputs. Cable ends are labeled for proper connection.
