Bottom line, if you are in need/want, of the Zoom F6 and Sennheiser MKH 416, this is a bargain. But Adorama?s in stock listing status is a farce, Adorama if you read this you need to be completely transparent and upfront about the in stock status and shipping methods BEFORE customers place their orders. I know its not Adorama's fault the Zoom F6 is not available, but it is their fault for making me believe that it is before i placed my order. If i ever do get the F6 shipped to me this summer, i'll probably just flip it Below is my buying experience with this kit - buyer be informed I ordered this kit because i wanted both the Sennheiser MKH 416 and Zoom F6 recorder and saving 200 bucks and buying this kit was a no brainer. Adorama is great about kitting desirable products together and offering decent savings. When i placed my order it was (and is) listed as ?in stock and ready to ship?. (as of 02/13/2022), but after placing my order the Zoom F6 went on immediate backorder status. After contacting Adorama customer services was told the F6 wouldn?t ship for at least 2 months. I was like WT*, it was listed as ?in stock? so i cancelled that order and went for plan B which was the MKH416 packaged with the Zoom H6 all black recorder. An even better deal (250 savings), But after placing that order was informed it would be ?dropped shipped? from the manufacture. I am like what manufacture? Zoom? Sennheiser? Or both? Getting dropped shipped product is a nightmare because the ?seller?, will take zero responsibility should there be any problems with the order and you have to deal directly with the manufacturer, which if i wanted to do that would just order directly from them in the first placed. So i had to cancel (that) order. and Here i am ordering this again. I came back because i want the MKH416 and this is the cheapest way to buy it (aside from pre-owned somewhere else). I placed a separate order for the Sound Devices MixPri-6 II which IHO is a way better recorder, just horrible battery management and a lot more money.

I?m a professional voice actor and, the MKH-416 is fantastic. As many production studios use them I wanted that compatibility for my clients. Then when traveling, the mic is great for less than ideal room treatments and the H6 makes a wonderful travel interface so I don?t have to break down elements of my home studio when I go out of town.

I?m a voice over artist and many of my peers use this mic. I hadn?t had a chance to try it, but I was starting to book more promos and radio spots so i thought this could be a great addition to my booth. It lived up to the hype and then some in my opinion. I?ve got a baritone voice and am naturally pretty resonant, but this mic fills everything out so dang well and for really any project. Audiobooks, kids animation, deep emotional promos. It?s now THE mic in my booth. Only thing I?ve noticed is that at times my sibilants can get harsh with certain projects, processing, or if I?m really leveraging the proximity effect.

This is the best microphone I’ve used. I would check it out at college every weekend and was always amazed by the lack of external I’d get with it. I highly recommend this to any filmmaker. Also this deal is such a great price. It doesn’t come with a case for your zoom so keep that in mind but besides that, totally worth it.

What can I say? Everything that needs to be said about this mic has been said. It sounds like you're in the room, period. Also, Adorama had an amazing deal where a Zoom H6 was basically a free add-on.

The MKH416 mic has lived up to the hype. It sounds great as a VO mic and I'm even using to record audio books. It has been said that it is too punchy for long form narration, but after dialing in my EQ and a bit of compression, I think is sounds great if kept further away than for VO work. My voice is so much cleaner, fuller, and crisper than with my old discount shotgun and USB mics. Add the Zoom H4n Pro for the same price, and I'm all set in the studio and on the road.

It took me 30 years to peel my fingers off of my ME66 with the K6 module. In ENG, we resist phantom power like a priest. But, this mic sounds unreal, even several feet away. Dialogue is crisp with bass that sounds like the mic is in the shot. Lightweight and nimble on a boom. In a booth, you can read your copy without the mic blocking your view. If Sennheiser released this mic today, it would have a Neumann label on it. Since it doesn't, the 416 comes in a cheap plastic case. I'm not crying too hard. In ENG, we don't use no stinking cases, unless it comes with a suede handle and an ugly shade of blue masked with dirt from at least five different states.

I've used the Sennheiser 416 for years for interviews, narrative films, nature sounds, foley and just about everything in between. It's my go-to microphone. When I saw it paired with the Zoom H6 for the price - you're essentially getting the recorder for free. I couldn't miss out on this. NOTE: This package does NOT include the Zoom MSH-6 Mid-Side Microphone Capsule as pictured. I was a little let down by this. I should have read what was included. I think the photo is misleading.

I was going to purchase these items individually when I discovered Adorama had this great package! Saved a bundle and got one of the best vo mics in the world and an all-in-one recorder, preamp and audio. interface. The Zoom F6 is powerful and compact with built-in Sony battery sled (a very expensive add-on to the Mix Pre 2). I only wish it had 2 SD card slots.

The Sennheiser MKH-416 and Zoom H6 were delivered fast and in perfect condition. Both are excellent tools for their respective purposes. The package deal seemed like a fair price considering the Sennheiser often sells for about $1,000 on its own.

Even after all these years this is still an excellent mic. You cannot go wrong with the Zoom H6 either, so the bundle here is a value that's unbeatable. Of course, it's important to note that the Zoom H6 is difficult to work with in an audio bag, but you can get the case specifically designed for the H6 and attach it to your belt loop with a carabiner. Works like a charm.

This is a great combo for audio. The MKH 416 and Zoom H6 do a great job for my videos. I usually use them together in a pretty quiet room, use the gain on about 5 and produces really clean, great-sounding results. A lot to work with in Adobe Audition, but if you don't want to process the audio - it sounds pretty good straight off of the card too.

The 416 is the industry standard short shotgun. Great for interiors, exteriors and voice overs. When paired with the H6 it makes for a great sounding and professional kit!

The 416 is the #1 rated VO mic, outside of the Neuman 87. The folks at Adorama were absolutely fantastic in their processing and delivery of this product. I would recommend Adorama & the 416 without hesitation.

The MKH-416 is the industry standard for a reason, and paired with the Zoom H6, you have a great combo. You’ll need a boom pole and XLR cable to make this a functional setup, and a mic mount or blimp would be a good addition, as well.

I bought this product to replace a more modest setup On film shoots and the upgrade was well worth it. The low noise floor is a testament to wonderful preamps and the rugged metal construction makes it perfect for field work. And the rate makes it a no-brainer.
