This is also a great, perfect factory replacement cable for the vintage Sennheiser HD-414. Sennheiser's cable, part number 508822 sold by Adorama for the HD 25 Light Headphones is either the exact same cable that has a re-designated Sennheiser part number - or is at least an absolutely perfect factory replacement for the previous and now generally unavailable Sennheiser part 037974. The 037974 that otherwise seems to have become discontinued and unobtainable was also until somewhat recently designated by Sennheiser as suitable for use with the vintage Sennheiser HD-414 open-air headphone. I received and tested one of these 508822 cables today (2/13/21) with my vintage HD-414 headphones that I have enjoyed since purchasing them new in 1975. To my pleasant satisfaction, the 508822 fits perfectly like a custom glove and functions absolutely perfectly with my 46-year-old HD-414's. I was struggling to find a perfect Sennheiser factory cable to replace my original HD-414 cable that had finally developed an internal wire failure at the stress relief for the left transducer. I was starting to give up hope on still keeping my wonderful old HD-414's maintained and working. Adorama has a real winner here for the HD 25 and also the good old HD-414. I am very glad and relieved that I figured this out. Thanks, Adorama!
