With the SR IEM G4 Stereo Transmitter from Sennheiser, experience the power of a half-rack stereo transmitter encased in a full-metal housing. This robust device features an OLED display for comprehensive control, delivering crystal-clear sound across the entire frequency spectrum. Designed for daily use on stage, it is an integral part of the evolution wireless G4 In Ear Monitoring systems.
This wireless stereo rack-mount transmitter is engineered to work seamlessly with a companion transmitter as part of a wireless RF monitoring system. It operates within nine UHF frequency ranges, offering a switching bandwidth of up to 42 MHz. The frequency ranges span from 470 - 516 MHz, 516 - 558 MHz, 520 - 558 MHz, 626 - 668 MHz, 734 - 776 MHz, 780 - 822 MHz, 823 - 865 MHz, 566 - 608 MHz, to 606 - 648 MHz. Each range boasts 1,680 tunable receiving frequencies, adjustable in 25 kHz steps.
The SR IEM G4 is equipped with 20 fixed frequency banks, each with up to 16 compatible frequency presets, and 6 user banks with up to 16 user programmable frequencies. The menu-driven interface is displayed on a backlit OLED screen, showing all essential information such as current frequency, frequency bank and channel number, AF level metering, transmission status, power, equalizer setting, input sensitivity, and lock status.
The transmitter features an auto-lock function to prevent accidental changes to settings. The parameters of associated receivers can be configured in the transmitter menu and synchronized via an integrated infrared interface. The device ensures frequency stability of +/-10 ppm and offers switchable RF output power at 50 Ohm between 10 mW (low), 30 mW (standard), and 50 mW (high).
The SR IEM G4 Stereo Transmitter provides a stereo audio input through two discrete (left/right) electronically balanced 1/4" (6.3 mm) jack/XLR-3F combo sockets. The audio output uses a balanced 1/4" (6.3 mm) jack socket, and an audio loop output is provided through two balanced 1/4" (6.3 mm) jack sockets. A headphone output with volume control is also included, utilizing a 1/4" (6.3 mm) stereo jack socket.
The transmitter is equipped with an Ethernet port (RJ-45) for remote network-based monitoring and control via the Sennheiser Wireless System Manager software. It also includes a 50 Ohm BNC-type input socket for antenna connection. The device incorporates the Sennheiser HDX compander system and includes a 19-kHz MPX pilot tone with a +/-5 kHz deviation. The audio frequency response ranges from 25 -15,000 Hz, with a maximum input level of +22 dBu and a total harmonic distortion (THD) at 1 mV and nominal deviation of 90 dB.
The SR IEM G4 operates on 12 V power supplied from the NT 2-3 mains unit (for 100 - 240 V AC, 50/60 Hz) and consumes 350 mA of power. Encased in a rugged metal housing, it measures approximately 202 x 212 x 43 mm (7.95" x 8.35" x 1.69") and weighs around 980 grams (2.16 lbs). It can operate in temperatures ranging from -10 Degree C to +55 Degree C (+14 Degree F to +131 Degree F). The package also includes a GA 3 Rackmount Kit for easy installation.
