I plugged it in, and it worked. No issues no problems. I purchased it to backup 10TB of data from my Synology NAS, which I have done, and I cannot think of a single criticism. It does what I purchased it to do.

A must for educators who need lots of room to store their videos. The massive size ensures plenty of raw footage and rendered products will have a safe place without having to delete their roll to make room for a new batch. It's reliable and works nicely with a Mac or PC. Be prepared to live with the idea of it falling over since the only rubber feet it has are on the side so vertical storage is your only option.

This drive represents a great value as far as GB per Dollar. It performs well, especially considering that it's an external drive. I use it to store video projects, but many times I'm actually editing from this drive without noticing any disturbing performance issues, even though we all know this isn't a high performance editing drive. The only con that I can mention, is that it is noisy. The head movements are very loud if you have the drive on anything that can resonate or amplify the sound. I have it sitting on a block of foam and it quiets it down quite a bit.

Love the look, size, ease, and functionality of this drive. But I wish I knew how loud it can be before I set it up in my bedroom. Of course it only seems to make noise when I'm trying to sleep. Otherwise it's great.

Hard to do a short term review on a hard drive. It's basically like any other external hard drive. It will be use more as long term storage for stuff like like photos, music, videos. I hope it last a long time...

I was in serious need of extra space, and two of these drives fixed me right up. It's luck of the draw as to what grade of drive you actually get, but both drives I received were Exos enterprise drives, 7200rpm, and I couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

My particular unit had an Exos drive which is Seagate's high end enterprise drive. Many people do shuck these to put inside NAS enclosures and say it is easy to do so. I personally have it hooked up to a RaspPi and use it as a basic SMB share. It has great performance and a ton of space. My only concern is that the enclosure is not good for airflow and I worry about it overheating under excessive utilization.

Great performance though somewhat loud when there's disk activity. I would not use this where a low-noise environment is needed. Benchmarks report that there's an Exos drive (ST14000NM001G) inside.

Appears to be a solid product. Crystal Disk info reports inside is Seagate Ironwolf drive. Good communication from Adorama on shipping of original OOS purchase.

You actually only get 12.7tb and it is very loud when it is writing to disk.

Great desktop expansion drive. USB 3.0 is ok but I shucked mine into a net app array and they work great.
