Misleading packaging. You cannot sync the mic and the lava to the same receiver. It is an easy software solution but sennheiser is not updating their system. We didn't see this info, had to ask local supplier and in fact couldn't believe and researched to find this out. In all of internet there is only one more review that mentions this issue. Why out two transmitters in one box if cannot connect?! If this doesn't bother you it is an okay kit when used in conjunction with a recorder such as zoom..

Misleading packaging

Love love love it, used at presser and it worked flawless.

Very professional.

I purchased this kit based on reviews on YouTube which demonstrated a superior sound with zero interference at long ranges. I have not been disappointed! Just note this does not work with a phone unless you have the proper adapter cable.

Long range, great sound

The XSW is a great concept but a failed execution. It's simple and lacks any settings. That could be overlooked for it's compactness except the levels coming out are so crazy high that even in a camera with adjustments it's a hassle because you have to turn it so much lower than other mics. Forget about using this with phone  of other camera that does not have any sort of input level adjustment. Sennheiser cranked the volume to 100 and locked it. There's really no excuse. 

Now that the Rode Wireless Go is out with vastly more features and with level adjustments it's a no brainier. The only way the XSW stays relevant in comparison is if they give us some control over levels in an update. Even then it won't really compare since there no actual internal controls.

Clipped audio. Look at the Rode Wireless Go

I like it because it also comes with a unit with an xlr connector on one of the two transmitters. Can park a shotgun mic on a boom into it.

This is great for small projects but not really for major film or video work.

I need to test it in the Chicago Loop to see how it performs in area with a lot of rf interference.

Good, cheap wireless alternative choice

I thought it would connect more than one transmitter so I bought it as a set of 2 transmitter and one receiver. And I am wrong.
