Engineered with a proprietary design, these earplugs incorporate a specialized noise-reducing filter that curbs potentially harmful noises above 85dB, while permitting safe-level sounds to pass through into the ear canal. For added flexibility, the EP4s come with attached filter caps that can be inserted for enhanced protection, effectively blocking out lower-level noise, ideal for situations like air travel where hearing ambient sounds or conversations isn't critical.

Crafted from a soft yet durable, hypoallergenic polymer, these high-quality earplugs ensure all-day comfort and an extended product lifespan. The patented EarLock retention rings secure the earplugs in place, while the soft, adjustable triple-flanged stems provide secure seals in the ear canals. The low-profile design of the EP4s allows for compatibility with helmets, masks, phones, and headsets.

The EP4 Sonic Defenders Plus also double as earpieces for compatible radio communication systems. Simply remove the noise-reducing filter and attach the earpiece to the system. Please note, the EP4 earpiece no longer provides hearing protection once the noise-reducing filter has been removed.

The medium size fits most people, while those with smaller ear canals may find a better fit with our EP3 Sonic Defenders, which feature a two-flange stem.
