The Sto-Fen Omini-bounce does the job of evening out the light which helps a lot. I used this before with another flash years ago. I shot pictures during the Holy Thursday and Easter services and and shown there is not hot spot. This helps also in editing spending lot last time correcting the lighting situation.

This has to be hands down the biggest bang for the buck in improving flash picture quality. Gives very soft, diffused light, and makes it much easier to seemlessly balance fill flash with existing light. This diffuser has been on my flash 99+ % of the time since I bought it! The image crop shows how well the diffuser works.

Simple and cheap BUT this will make your indoor flash pictures look much more natural. Harsh shadows will be a thing of the past, candid portraits are much more flattering - just from a simple piece of plastic - WELL WORTH THE MONEY!

I use the Gary Fong Light sphere most of the time and this isn't quite on that level. However, for 1/6 the price and 1/4 the size I get great results! I just keep this in my bag just in case and it works great on the spot!

Performs very well for the intended use. Adds smooth light to indoor subjects when flash is left at an incline (45 degrees). Has no impact if flash is fired directly or outdoors (only reduces flash intensity).

This is a simple yet effective diffuser for my Canon 430 ex II Speedlite external flash. It fits well and does the job by softening the light produced by the flash. The only "con", which isn't really a con of the Sto-Fen, is that the Canon Speedlite case isn't large enough to fit the flash and the diffuser.

I use the bounce for portrait shots indoors and outdoors. The Sto-Fen diffuses the light and reduces the harshness of the flash on faces.

I am a professional photographer and the one thing missing in my bag was a flash difusser. I have always wanted a Gary Fong Diffuser but am very detailed about reviewing products. After reviewing the Fong and the Sto-Fen, I found that they pretty much worked the same and that the Sto-Fen "looked" more prefessional and less like having a bulky piece of tupperware on your flash. I also read alot of complaints about how the top to the Fong would fall off, the bulkiness of the diffuser and how you could not alter the direction of the flash, ever. I decided to go with the Sto-Fen and am so glad I did. The diffuser is custom made to fit this particular flash so it does not fall off yet is easy to remove. The diffuser gives a nice finish to the photos like I desired getting rid of any harsh or white-out lighting from a direct flash. I highly recommend this diffuser to anyone looking to add to their bag. Have fun!
