Beautiful lens! Capabilities still need more time to use it.
The Sigma 50mm art lens has become one of my favorite lenses to use and so I traded in my Canon 24-70 L 2.8 lens and bought this 24-70 by Sigma. The 24-70 has never been a favorite lens to use but it's useful in some circumstances so I needed one in my collection. I'm very happy with this lens so far but i still need more time to see all that it can do outside and in the studio.
Wow! Another Sigma Art winner!
Used on an A7rii, w Metabones IV & MC-11. After a week, I can find no downsides except for weight and size (82mm filter!!!). Optics are excellent with very impressive center sharpness WO and very sharp across frame stopped down 2-stops. OS works very well (note: on older EOS film cameras, 1n, 10s, the OS does indeed work, but once in a while it has glitched and jitters up/down. It is stopped by half press of shutter. Otherwise accurate focus on film bodies). The Metabones adapter is better...
