This is definitely a decent camera for the price. I bought this lens for small venue concerts because of its low light capabilities, except it struggled to focus efficiently in low light settings. This made shooting a bit tricky and somewhat annoying to work with. Will likely be reselling this lens to try something different.

In general, the lens are good for beginner like me to use. Though it is a little bit heavy, I feel the good image quality can benefit a lot with the size of lens.

I rented this lens for two photo shoots before I decided to break down and just purchase it. The only knock is that it?s a little heavy. The results of the photos are worth the price!

I had heard about how sharp this lens is so I bought a used copy of this lens, I was blown away at how sharp it was and how well it worked with the IBIS on my R5. I have other Canon L series EF & RF lenses but this lens is as sharp or even sharper than they are!

Completely impressed with this lens. I own a LOT of pricey lenses but this one is actually my new go-to wedding video/photo lens. It?s perfect.

This lens is amazing for portrait shots! It requires very minimal editing in Lightroom. The 50mm lens is a pretty big lens to carry but the quality is there! This was recommended by my photographer who shoots for a living.

There are not many things I buy extended warranties for, but cameras and lenses are vital to my business and expensive to purchase and repair. Warranty and insurance are key as a business owner.

So far I am loving this lens. There is a bit of a learning curve from a zoom lens but the results are spectacular! I definitely recommend this lens.

Very impressed with the lens? it was much more affordable than LUMIX lenses, but great quality. And the tripod stand that came as part of the bundle is unexpectedly fantastic?I assumed it would be a cheap add on item, but it?s very sturdy, nicely designed.

Amazing lens, out performs my canon RF L glass. It would be a 5 star review but the lack of weather sealing limits its use. Sharpest, fastest lens I've used. Its results are incredible when used for documentary work paired with the canon c70 and canon focal reducer.

This Sigma 50mm is a real gem. The bokeh and compression from the 50mm is just butter. As with my other Art lenses, the thing is built like a rock. I only wish it had IS/OS because at 50mm, introducing shake is a real possibility.

Sigma makes excellent glass and this lens is just as good if not better than the Sony GM.

All in all I'm happy with this lens. I needed an affordable 50mm after replacing my Canon. While I still prefer the Canon while shooting outdoors the sigma has done a perfect job at studio work. I plan on keeping this as a go to in my kit for a long time

Came from using a Canon 50mm. The sigma definitely gets the job done but not at the caliber I would like it too. While it takes great close ups I am not a fan of distance photos. I will keep this lens but unsure of how much I will use it

Admittedly I have been a Canon L series lens snob for some time and have stuck with my trifecta of 2.8 zooms. The Sigma 50 Art was my first foray into legit prime lenses and I am so impressed. In fact, my next purchase will likely be a Sigma 35 Art. Very happy with every aspect of this lens...rugged, beautiful color and detail rendering...the price point...it's all there (and its not an L lens).

What a beautiful lens! I can't stop using it and my zoom lens (which is also a quality lens) is sitting idle. I am a student photographer and I did a lot of research before springing for my first prime lens for my Sony A7II, and I have been very happy with this choice. If you don't like the heft of a quality build it may not be for you, but I love it, and the sharpness and speed is fantastic.

Super sharp lens. I love the rich colors it produces on my A9. Very sturdy, but not too heavy. Quick to focus and very responsive in AF mode. The only lens I use more is the 24mm Art. Perfect for portraits and low-light conditions.

Super sharp lens. This is my second-most used lens, the other being the 24mm art. Great responsiveness on my A9, and beautiful color. Perfect for portraits and low-light conditions.

Another great lens from Sigma. It has become my staple for all my lenses in my bag. I have never had any issues with the quality of the lenses and the turnout of photos taken. The sigma lenses are a tad bit heavier but I think this is due to the quality of the lenses. The pictures are crisp and give much more than other lenses that I have. They are top of their game.

Great package! Everything you need to protect the glass. Great depth, color and autofocus for video and photo. Not very heavy either.

I'm so glad I purchased this lens. I have a Nikon D750 and wanted to upgrade my current 50mm lens. This Sigma lens is much beefier and made of quality glass vs plastic like my old one. It worked amazing right out of the box and didn't require any calibration. No focusing issues either. The images I'm taking are definitely a step up from what I was able to do on my previous Nikon 50mm lens. Also loved the quick service from Adorama and the extras that came with the lens. BUY THIS LENS you will not regret it.

"This lens is a great go-to lens especially for shooting video. Our team prefers the Sigma ART Series because of the maximum aperture and the 9-blade diaphragm creating clean bokeh. "
You can redefine your photographic journey with the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART Lens for Nikon F. This innovative lens, part of Sigma's esteemed Global Vision series, is designed for photographers who demand superior clarity and artistic expression.
The lens features Sigma's Hyper Sonic AF Motor, which, when combined with an advanced AF algorithm, delivers not just rapid autofocus, but also ensures it is incredibly smooth and virtually silent. This allows you to capture fleeting moments or compose deliberate shots with refined precision. Plus, the full-time manual focusing control is just a focus ring turn away.
As a member of Sigma's prestigious Art line, this lens is celebrated for its exceptional optical performance. It's the go-to choice for creatives and artists who need a lens that can transform their vision into captivating images.
The lens's advanced optical design guarantees both precise resolution and an appealing out-of-focus quality. Its molded glass aspherical element effectively combats sagittal coma flare, ensuring clarity even at the swift f/1.4 aperture. Expect minimal vignetting, color blur, and distortions, setting the stage for stunning bokeh and impressive shallow depth of field results. This optical prowess also extends to astrophotography, where point-light sources are flawlessly rendered.
Incorporating three SLD (Special Low Dispersion) glass elements, this lens consistently delivers clarity, sharpness, and contrast, regardless of the focus point or aperture. The result is every shot radiating brilliance and detail.
Designed with a large 85.4mm diameter, this lens's forefront elements ensure unparalleled peripheral brightness, particularly with larger apertures. Enjoy reduced vignetting and more clarity and detail in every corner of your frame.
Each lens element benefits from a Super Multi-Layer Coating, effectively eliminating lens flare and ghosting, and producing contrast-rich, color-neutral photos, even in challenging backlit conditions.
The lens's innovative floating system refines focus by adjusting the distance of the glass elements, allowing for a minimal focusing distance of 1.3'. With a max magnification of 1:5.6 and 13 elements in eight groups, you can enjoy unprecedented detail throughout the focusing range. Close focusing is enhanced at 15.7 inches.
Constructed with durability in mind, the Thermally Stable Composite (TSC) material ensures reliability in varied temperatures. The lens's exterior proudly displays its production year, while the brass-made bayonet mount guarantees durability. A rubber-fitted lens hood ensures a snug fit. Plus, for the tech-savvy, it's compatible with the Sigma USB Dock for lens adjustments and firmware updates.
With the Sigma 50mm f/1.4 DG HSM ART Lens for Nikon F, you can experience the pinnacle of technical excellence and artistic flair, pushing the boundaries of photography to new heights.
