This flash is very hard to find at the time I wrote this review. It has been replaced by the 610, but if you can find it and you want to save $50 it's great.

I use it on camera as well as remotely triggered from my Nikon d80 for portraits indoors and outdoors. Two of these on stands shooting through umbrellas in TTL mode nails the correct exposure.

I have shot school plays and concerts from 50+ feet away with my Sigma 120-400 and it does a great job of lighting the stage and close up shots.

I did break the shoe when I dropped the camera with the flash attached. Found the replacement shoe on-line and with a little soldering and some patience it was as good as new.

If the 610 is anything like the 530 grab one if want the extra power.

Walked around the house taking pictures of things and was very pleased with the output and ease of use. Can't wait to try it in a fill situation sometime in the future.

This was a christmas gift.It was used on Christmas day all day and seemed to work fine.It recycled quickly and didn't blow out any shots.This was mounted on a Nikon D60.My nephew is 13 and is in the photography club at school so it will be a learning experience[camera was last yrs. gift].I'm creating the next Ansel Adams[I hope].

I also have Nikon SB800 & SB600 and I use this speedlight both on the camera and off as a remote flash. Works great, is consistent and a powerful flash. My only gripe might be that it is a little heavier than the Nikons but not too much so. Recommend product.
