Excellent lens for wildlife and portrait - haven't made it to a sports event but excited for it. The autofocus is fast and differentiates between subjects and backgrounds quickly. The lens is sharp and handles well in lowlight. Portraits are sharp and bokeh natural. It's not too big to lug around. You'll love the lens!
Amazing lens for an affordable price
I purchased this lens right before the safari trips to Africa and boy this lens did not disappoint me. It's a fantastic lens for someone looking to have a wide range of focal length in one body. I never needed to change my lens in the dusty environment and I was easily able to shoot both landscapes and wildlife. Skeptics will say this is a very slow lens.
