This lens caused me to divorce my Nikon AF 85mm f/1.4d lens after many faithful years of service. Connected to my D810, D800, or Z7 this lens outperforms the Nikon in every category of measurement. Given that the Nikon is more than 30 years old and has been superseded by several newer Nikon models I will still need you to pry this Sigma out of my cold dead fingers. The first time out I was volunteering some time for Habitat for Humanity at one of their home dedication events. I had to look a couple of time at the images because they were so crisp, saturated, and the colors rendered so well that I was surprised. Within a couple of days of turning the images over to HFH, I got a call from the Executive Director begging for the rights to some of the images for use in some of their marketing materials. I own six (6) Art line lens and none of them have ever turned in a bad performance. I have also had the pleasure of working with the Service Department and i must say that they a speedy, professional, and extremely pleasant to work with. My equipment was turned in a matter of days and great communications. Highly recommended.

The purchase of this lens is after a thorough review & features with other similar lenses. This was the best lens available in the market with this kind of price. It's a big beast of a lens but the image quality is top notch even when it is wide open. Looking up the weight of this lens, I was surprised to find it's actually on par with many other similar wide aperture 85mm lenses - and somehow lighter than the Canon RF 85mm! The focus is fast and razor sharp.

I need a good portrait lens and all the review said this is the one. I got to say It's really sharp. It's my workhorse for headshots. I love shooting with this lens at 2.0 or 2.8 aperture. Go ahead and check out the reviews on YouTube. If you're thinking about getting this lens and you're not sure about it, just get it. It is a great lens

Bought this lens used from Adorama (E Condition). First off let me start off by saying it was in great condition, packaged very well, and arrived safely n securely. Second of all the lens is a tank!!!! Heavy as can be, maybe the weight of a wine bottle when attached to my Cannon R6. Holy smokes this lens is sharp. I am in love with it. I never write reviews, but I had to let everyone know how amazing this glass is. BUY IT.

Really good lens, little bit of purple fringes in high contrast edges, but everything else is awesome. Little bit heavier than new Canon 85mm 1.4L IS lens, but less price, and no IS, definitely worth it lens

Love this lens and the only think I do not like about the kit is the cleaning kit that comes with it- the lens wipes are like wet construction paper. But it was free with the lens- so no Biggy just don't use the wipes on the actual lens or any glass.

This is one of Sigma's best. It is rather heavy but that was known by me from many other professional product reviews. The auto focus is fast and accurate. The Boca is smooth fine. This is a very sharp lens. All of the Sigma "Art" lenses are sharp but this is one of the best. This is my 4th Sigma art lens they are all good and this one is near the best.

I'm slowly upgrading my camera equipment. I started with this lens after much research. I was surprised that it was heavier than I expected but not too heavy for practical use. It has sleek look and cane with its own hood and carry case. I was impressed with that. I took it out for its first maternity shoot and seriously I'm in love lol. I had so many more photos looking clean, beautiful bokeh, and check this, less blurry. I have my old knock off lens and it struggled with clear photos (it could be my error) but using my same technique I had more clear portraits than when I used my old lens. I can't wait to upgrade my camera base too. Im definitely a fan of the sigma art. They made a believer out of me. I know this purchase will bring my photography to the next level. The only draw back was the ordering process for me. When I placed my order online the site wouldn't recognize my address so I had to get creative. Other than that I am very pleased.
