Robert L : Does this fit a DP2 Merrill? Is there a more specific hood for the DP2 Merrill?DANIEL I : I'm sorry I don't have any information as to whether this will fit the Merrill. It should be on the Sigma website but if it is not you could call Sigma's customer service and they could tell you. I would not bet on it fitting as the two camera's are quite different in the placement of the lens on the camera body. But best to check with Sigma before ordering.ANDREW R : This unit is compatible with the DP2 and DP1, though Sigma does not specify, this unit should should fit the Merrill edition as well.
Shopper : will this fit on the 20mm lumix pancake lens?ANDREW R : Unfortunately no, this will not be the correct fit.

Quality plastics and fits well

The plastics doesn't feel cheap and the fit is tight. I specifically bought this for my travels so that I won't have to reach and remove the lens cap to do a quick shot. Besides that, it protects the lens for physical damage such as scratch and bumps. I recommended this product for true Sigma DP users.
