previously had same radio for many years, the volume dial would create constant static each time I turned the volume up or down. As I used the ear buds excusiively, I tried many different brands. None corrected the problem. So far so good with my latest purchase. Have you encountered this problem so before?

This radio is definitely worth buying. I use it at work. It is not too loud. Reception works well. My favorite station option is convenient. When needed ear plugs work fine.

Initial assessment of build quality looks good. FM sensitivity and audio quality are very good. AM reception is OK. Even the included earbuds provide nice audio quality. Recommended.

Happily,this little radio measures a svelte 0.875 in. thick, not a cumbersome 1.2 in. as advertised. Presets are maintained even if the batteries are removed for several hours, despite the manual. My only complaint is that getting the presets in the exact order that I wanted proved to be a bit of a chore.

Used during exercise. Fits in my pocket. It's bigger than many but AM reception in difficult areas is better than most. Battery life very good. Digital tuning quite handy.
