A really solid lens. Wide open at T2 in a zoom you will notice the focus move on you a bit but almost unnoticeable when shooting at T3.2+. A really pretty lens and very versatile. The weight is solid and doesn't feel off balance when mounted. The lens has a very long pull with both zoom and focus. If your pulling manually you better have big hands, it will be much easier with a focus knob or follow Focus in my opinion. The #'s are illuminated and was surprisingly handy shooting in a dark theater one day. Overall a really solid lens I was happy to purchase.

These won't replace our nicer lenses but as an upgrade to the Canon L-series glass, these meet the mark.

These are a nice upgrade over the standard Canon L series glass. They meet my expectations for a lens at this price range. They have also been a popular rental item at f11rentals.com

Awesome lens!!!
Make your cinematic vision a reality with the 18-35mm and 50-100mm T2.0 Fully Luminous High-Speed Cine Lenses for PL Mount. These lenses offer consistent T2 brightness across the zoom range, ensuring optimal light capture for every shot. Designed for high-resolution shooting, they are equipped to handle 6K-8K filming, providing exceptional image quality that meets the demands of professional cinematography.
These lenses are a testament to Sigma's commitment to superior design, precision manufacturing, and rigorous quality control. Each lens undergoes a comprehensive performance evaluation using Sigma's proprietary A1 Modulation Transfer Function (MTF) measuring system. This system utilizes 46-megapixel Foveon direct image sensors to detect even the most minute details, ensuring that every lens meets the highest standards before shipping.
The lenses are designed to minimize flare and ghosting, enhancing contrast in backlit conditions. This is achieved through computer-based ray tracing from the design stage and meticulous checking at every prototype stage. The result is sharp, clear images with outstanding bokeh effects.
Sigma's CCI standard ensures color balance across the lens lineup, simplifying color correction in post-production. The lenses also offer 6K-8K class resolution, making them ideal for chroma keying and high-resolution shooting.
Despite their high performance, these lenses are lightweight and compact, thanks to Sigma's high-precision, high-efficiency mass production technologies. They are built to withstand professional use with a 100% metal body, dust-proof and splash-proof construction, and laser-engraved information for long-term durability.
The lenses feature luminous paint on the specification, gradation baseline, and lens change indications for easy operation in low light conditions. The Fully Luminous versions also have rings with numbers and gradations finished with luminous paint.
The lenses have a standardized 82mm front filter size and a 95mm front diameter, compatible with matte boxes. The gear positions in each ring are standardized, and each lens has a 0.8M gear pitch, ensuring compatibility with existing cinematography accessories.
The focus ring offers a 180-degree rotational angle for high-precision focusing. The iris ring provides full manual control with a smooth, click-free operation and a T-stop display for precise exposures.
These lenses are compatible with still cameras with the appropriate mount, making them versatile tools for both cinematography and DSLR movie shooting. The mount with electronic contacts allows the lens to communicate important information to the camera body.
Each lens comes with a dedicated lens support foot to minimize load on the camera body and enhance mount stability. The lenses also include a cine-style front lens cap and a hard case for secure storage and transport. With the 18-35mm and 50-100mm T2.0 Fully Luminous High-Speed Cine Lenses for PL Mount, you can capture your vision with unparalleled clarity and precision.
