The SpiderHolster is a gem for anyone suffering from back pain. Prior to purchasing the Spyder, for years I used the Holdfast Moneymaker for wedding photography. Over the shoulder harnesses may work well for some, but I suffer from both scoliosis and arthritis in my back. I would end the evening in pretty severe pain, and would be all but incapacitated the following day. Another downfall of the harness styles is it's incompatible with long hair. The leather and the pivot points of harnesses would catch my long hair and literally rip it out of my head. I was 100% ready to try a new system. I saw a Facebook ad for the Spyder Holster, and decided to see what it had to offer. After I watched the videos, I wasn't completely sold, but I knew that Adorama has an outstanding return policy, so I figured, "Why not give it a try?" I took it out of the box the day before a wedding, completed the necessary attachments (which were super easy) and tried it on. My biggest concern was making sure that when I slipped the camera onto the holster, that I didn't miss the attachment and drop the camera. I switch quickly between 2 camera bodies during the processional of weddings, and could only image the disaster if I dropped on of them. After about 10 minutes of practice, I felt pretty confident about quickly switching between two bodies. The next day, the holster got put through it's paces. It was a 12 hour wedding day, and having the holster was so much easier on my body than the harness that I used to use. It is also much easier to put on than a harness system. The following day, I had virtually no back pain, which is a miracle. 6 hour weddings used to leave me bed ridden for a day. This 12 hour wedding felt like a portrait session. I would highly recommend this product to everyone, but especially to anyone suffering from back pain.

After trying another brand, I never felt my camera was secure and was difficult to remove from the holster. Saw another photographer using the spider holster and asked them about it and I was sold. Couldn’t be happier!

So happy to have the weight around my hips instead of on my back. It might not make me look super cool... I joke with the kids I photograph and call it my tool belt! But I LOVE it. So happy I decided to invest in the dual holster so I can have two lenses mounted to my two bodies and shoot with both quickly and easily!

I still have the heavier single lens reflex cameras, so weight is still a bit of a problem, but I don’t know of a better way to distribute the weight of two cameras! I also use straps in conjunction with the holster because I just don’t trust myself not to drop a camera, but what a RELIEF to have a better way to distribute the weight. I just take all the slack out of the straps, so the belt handles almost all the weight of the cameras. It’s also really great when I have to kneel down and the camera bodies are securely out of the way on my sides. Thanks Spidey!

I had been looking at purchasing the Spider Holster for a long time, but living in Melbourne Australia there was nowhere to actually try it on to see if it felt comfortable before purchase, so I kept putting it off. After seeing a demonstration with Sue Bryce - wearing it, and showing how it worked and fitted I decided to order one. It arrived from USA in 4 Days! Amazing. I have since put it on and fitted it, and ave to say am VERY pleased with this product - both quality & comfort. I already use their SpiderPro Hand-straps - and they were one of my best investments for my work - I look froward to using this in the field when COVID lockdown is over. In the meantime, I am just putting it on occasionally to get used to it on my body, and how it works before an actual shoot! Danielle

I've only used it once, but it's so much more comfortable than the strap. The belt is very comfy, and having the cameras at my side is so much easier than carrying them around my shoulders and neck. I'm looking forward to using this at a wedding soon. I’m pretty sure my back will feel better at the end of the night.

Super comfortable doing pet photography everything feels secure. One time I even forgot I have camera. My only problem is that I wasn't able to unscrew one of the knob to change side on plate... One screw is so strange, the allen key doesn't want to fit in deep, the included allen key will only go maybe half way in and thus that screw slot got rounded, tried with all 3 keys. Another annoying thing is, that you guys use some strange size for all of your screws. I have a really nice little set of allen keys and my 3mm is too small and 4mm is too big. I have some allen keys from my tripod mounts and from some other gear so I can attach to my camera and of course they don't fit your screws. Haven't had a chance to go to store and check if there is 3.5mm key. Quite annoyed that I have this screw stuck with some strange size. Other than that I'm quite satisfied with product. Would loved to have some extra long screw included so I could stack my tripod plate over your plate will have to source my own.

During some years back I have been carrying my Canon 1DX with a harness and pain in my shoulders. I got my SpiderPro Dual a couple of weeks ago and it´s great to carry my stuff on the hips instead. It's fast to change between the cameras and i often have one camera with 400/2,8 on a monopod, one with 70-200/100-400 on my right hip and one with 16-35/24-70 on my left hip. When i sit by the football field I often put the cameras on the turf witch makes it easier and faster to change camera during the game.

I love my new spider pro dual camera holster. I used to carry my camera bag around during events giving me bad back aches afterward. Now my back no longer hurts after a long day and I can carry two cameras with two different lenses giving me security that they won’t fall.

Works like a charm. Everything I could have hoped for, coming from dual-strap BlackRapid systems. It does take a bit of getting used to, but once familiar, it works like a smooth machine. Just be careful to make sure you hear/feel the click of your camera being remounted before taking your hands off.

I’ve been wanting a SpiderPro Dual System for some time and now wish I’d purchased earlier. The system keeps my gear secure and accessible at all times. I put two pins on each camera plate as I will shift the from side to side as the need arises. I also love that I am able to have the Arca Swiss plates on for when I need to mount the cameras on a tripod or mono pod. Each camera also sports the SpiderPro hand grip which make carrying the cameras secure and more comfortable during use. Everything balances well and the system keeps pressure off my back and shoulders. Thanks, SpiderPro.

I had the one-holster version 1, which I still use from time to time, but the Dual-holster version 2 is improved and it's really nice to be able to have my 24-70mm lens on one camera, on one hip, and my second camera with the 70-200mm on the other hip... no more lens swapping, I can shoot pretty much everything I want with either of these cameras. I haven't had the chance to go hiking yet with the new holsters, but that is what I really like about the Spider holster, you can go hiking in trails, the countryside, walk all over the city, and have your camera(s) with you at all times, and they're never in the way, your hands are free, I can't imagine being without my Spider belt/holsters. If ever I do end up without it (never for long), I'm always looking to holster my camera on my hip, out of instinct, and it drives me crazy not to be able to get the camera out of my hand when I need to. Dragging my cameras on any kind of straps seems nightmarish, well, for the amount of walking and jogging that I do, in any case. For more sedentary photographers, that might not be as much of an issue. I've been using Spider for eight years now, and there is no better system.

After being in a car accident 5 years ago, my neck, shoulder, and lower back have never been the same. And I’m 27! I loved my holdfast harness for so long. But because of my pain, it wasn’t the best for me on long wedding days. The spider dual holster is amazing! Definitely recommend for anyone who has upper body pain. I will mention that it can put a lot more pressure on your knees. I am currently running a lot so hopefully that helps strengthen my muscles!
