The Shimoda Explore V2 30 Liter Adventure Backpack Starter Kit is a SUPERB backpack for the photographer with a smaller mirrorless camera such as a non-gripped Nikon Z8, Z7, with 2 or 3 short Nikkor Z lenses. For example, it fits a Nikon Z8 with Nikkor Z 24-120 f/4 S, a body-only Z7, and a Nikkor Z 14-30 f/4, with room to spare, for additional accessories, filters, batteries, air blower, etc. The metal YKK zippers with leather pulls are excellent and smooth. There is a multitude of various sized pockets for larger items such as light jackets, laptop, chargers, etc. The 2 fold-out mesh pockets are great for a tripod and a water bottle. Also, the camera cube can be easily removed and replaced with a smaller cube or cubes for a different configuration. The cubes are more rigid than other brands, which offers both superior gear protection, and permitting the backpack to stand vertically on its own, which many bags cannot do. Also, it has 3 handles, making it effortless to pick it up.

Bag looks and feels puffy. Size is small, did not have room like reviews on YouTube said. Bad reviews. I wanted to return to get bigger size but Adorama charges for shipping.?????? Don't get this bag for traveling! Cost too much $400.

This thing can pack the camera gear and leaves room for clothes. I had two mirrorless full frame bodies, and four lenses (100-400, 70-200, 24-105, 14-35). It can also has a water bladder for hikes or a laptop sleeve when going through the airport. There is also side pockets perfect for tripods or water bottles or anything else you could carry. I had enough room for a puffer jacket and a rain jacket on top. The strap system is highly adjustable.

This bag is perfect for my need! I have the Canon R5 and I also got the Large mirrorless core system for my setup. I just love all the details and the full thought process that has gone into making this bag.

Absolutely love this bag, I got this after a lot of long research and watching 100 Youtube videos, this is perfect for me and my needs. I have the Canon R5, with multiple lenses and misc equipment. It's just the right fit! :)

Nice looking bag. Loved all of the pockets. Zippers seemed stubborn. Bag loaded with waist belt on was very comfortable but seemed too tall and bulky for me. I had to return.

I never write reviews but this one is special. Ever since finding out about Shimoda bags and the quality that's behind it. I can say it is worth the price tag with so many features and little things that caters to the outdoor photographer. I believe anyone who enjoys being out in rugged terrain would definitely love this bag and even if you're not going out to the wild even urban territories this is a bag that doesn't scream out you're carrying a ton of gear.
