Doesn't allow my hand to go out enough when I use back-button focus unless I leave it really loose. Also interferes with getting my battery in and out. Olympus OM-1 camera.

The SpiderLight hand strip is the best one I've found, after trying several. However, I have problems when I attach the strap to the tripod mount at the bottom of the camera, and then attach a quick release plate. No matter how tight I adjust the mounting screw, it loosens and turns once I mount it on the tripod head.

I love the Spiderlight Hand Strap! It?s soft, thin and fits my hand perfectly. It?s very comfortable and secure. Easy to use and it?s never on the way and I get the perfect grip every time. I would definitely recommend to every photographer.

Just the right size for my Sony A6000. Fits well with my 1st generation belt and backpack holster. I just gave to take off the two nubs, they put the camera at a slight angle, doesn't fit totally flat on the mount, makes opening the screen difficult. Not a big deal. I am really satisfied with the strap and mount. ??????????

Camera is a Canon EOS M5. Excellent quality and very minimalistic. I love the plastic mount on the top as i can rest my thumb on it. Highly recommend!

I love the Spider hand strap (I’d used my brother’s full sized version then bought the SpiderLight for myself since I have a small hand and didn’t think I needed something that beefy. I was wrong. I’ve got an Olympus mirrorless camera paired with a 300mm lens and the strap is just too thin and lightweight to feel comfortable and sturdy with that combination. If I had any of the smaller lenses, I think it’d be just right. But with the long lens, I think I would stick with the regular strap. Also, as one user noted below, it’s very tight getting the battery door open and I, too, worry about it breaking one day.

This is the perfect strap for my Sony a7iii. I couldn’t be happier with the quality, comfort, and convenience.

The SpiderLight Hand Strap is very comfortable and allow me to handle the controls of my Nikon Z6 freely while keeping it safeguarded from dropping it.

I really like the holster. Quick delivery and great customer service. The strap is a different story. I don’t really like it. It doesn’t fit my hand that well. Don’t know if I’ll use it.

I have a Canon MarkIiii It makes accessing the memory card and the battery doors very tricky.... the plastic material of the bottom of the strap is not very flexible and I really have to bend it backwards in order to access my battery door. I have both the spider holster and my tripod holster plate also on my camera so it’s not easy to loosen the strap each time. I’m a little worried that my battery door-which is the toughest to get to, may break during one of the times I’m accessing it as I really have to pull back on the bottom of the strap & am concerned it could come back and break the door. I may have to find another strap That is more flexible -it’s not work risking damage to my camera each rime I have to access one of the doors. Otherwise the strap looks and feels good when using. I think if you don’t have any other plate on the bottom, it may not be such a big deal to loosen it each time you need to access the doors... It would have received a 5 star for me if it weren’t for this issue-it’s otherwise a good product.

I bought the SpiderLight Hand Strap for my Nikon Z50 camera and it’s been a great change from the traditional neck strap. Fits comfortably in my hand and feels secure enough while getting the shot. I’m looking forward to getting out and putting it to good use.

The camera grip I ordered was for a small SLR. My Lumix was not a SLR per se, but the configuration was similar. The product seemed to be well engineered and manufactured. However when I got to the last step, I found that the bottom washer and tail on the grip partially covered the access door for my battery and memory chip. That meant that every time I need to recharge the battery or extract the memory chip, I had to disassemble the grip---something I could not see myself doing in the field. I returned the product for a refund, for which I am waiting.

I bought this for a Sony A7R( infrared converted) camera with small zoom or prime. I use it with a Spider Light holster set-up. It is perfect for hikes, bikes, and carrying around without upper body strain! This attractive grip seems quite strong, allows battery and SD's to be dealt with comfortably. (I also bought the Version 2 larger grip for a bigger Sony mirrorless, which is even nicer for a larger camera and zoom lens!)

This Holster pairs great with the spider hand strap. The holster fits securely around my waist and does not move. I have not been able to use it too much as I purchased this in time for wedding season and well... Covid-19 has stopped all of this. But I have used it around my property as I walk the hills and creek beds. It seems to work nicely. I am ready to get back to work.

After recently changing from DSLR to a mirrorless system I wanted to try something other then a traditional camera strap with my Nikon Z6. The SpiderLight Hand Strap is well made but is too cumbersome to use for my purposes. The strap is stiff and inhibits my access to my cameras controls. Also, the straps stiffness is cumbersome when taking my camera in and out of the bag. I could see where this strap would work well for the pro photographer using a DSLR for extended sessions. For my quick grab and shoot usage in street and travel photography it's less than ideal.

Bought my first Spider Hand Strap when they were first being developed. I had already tried several other options. Nothing felt as comfortable or secure and certainly nothing on the market is as sexy. Of course, I am a 70-year old guy who walks around with an oxygen hose in his nose, so nothing is going to make me look cool, but the SpiderLight Hand Strap looks and works good to me. I'm only giving it 4 stars because it doesn't come in leather like the regular Spider Hand Strap. But I am now the proud owner of the original for my D810 and now the SpiderLight for my D5600. The SpiderLight Hand Strap seems to be just as tough as its big brother. After 5 years of using the original Spider Hand Strap, I just wouldn't own a camera without a Spider Hand Strap attached to it.

I have been using SpiderPro system since the kickstarter launch years ago. It is clearly the best camera holder (my usual setup is 2 cameras with different lenses on both sides) keeping my neck painless and the cameras ready to shoot almost instantly. Recently I bought Spider Black Widow system for my family members to carry and use a smaller mirrorless camera (a6500 + 16-55/2.8). Both SpiderPro and Black Widow systems need the straps (my opinion) to keep the secure hold-on of the camera while shooting. When comparing the SpiderLight and SpiderPro hand straps I prefer the SpiderPro. There is no difference while shooting or carrying on hip belt - but the difference comes from tight packaging needs during transport. SpiderPro strap is made of layered leather, leaving more flexibility than the SpiderLight strap, where the firmness is achieved using plastics parts. I have made my purchases through different channels, based on best price.

This is my third hand strap from Spider holster. The first two were the larger hand straps (which I love) for dslrs. I was looking for something smaller for my sony mirrorless (a6600) and it is perfect. Slightly tricky to open battery hatch to change battery or card but a quick squish towards the bottom of the strap and all is good.

Does a good job at repositioning the band for access to shutter button on xt3 but not a quick solution to attaching and detaching if using a gimbal

Even though the mirrorless camera is half the weight of my DLSR, I am used to the comfort and security of the Sider handstrap and always hooking my camera on my holster. This is easy to put on the camera, has the same sturdy components and has a soft lining and great color choices!

The holster is really a simple fix to securely locking the camera in place quickly when on the go and being able to retrieve it quickly to catch that perfect moment. I wish the holster pin was on a different angle on the bottom of the camera and then I could sit it flat - I can only have it flat if I add another arca 360 base or similar. A handy unit, I will buy a belt version to go with my backpacker as I have two cameras...

By far this design exceeded my expectations. You can tell it was designed by an actual camera operator.
