Terence M : Does this extension tube have an inner thread on the opposite end that will screw onto a desk arm? Can't see from photo.MATTHEW K : Yeah, definitely. It fits atop a standard mic thread. I bought a 'hot shoe' at the same time to be able to mount a shotgun mic on a Panasonic HD camera. The shoe alone made it so the mic could interfere with the camera view. It showed up in the frame. Now if your desk stand is the normal thread (larger) you can use this without an adapter. I have a Pyle 3-leg tabletop stand that features the small thread diameter (3/8 inch ???), and I know this would go on top of it with a thread adapter. It seems to be quality, especially the finish/paint. Jet black. I can also tell you this extension bar is heavy, unlikely to bend. Believe it or not I am in no way affiliated with whoever makes/sells this product. -Matt
