I ordered this for my boyfriend, who is an avid outdoor photographer. It’s amazing just how easy this item is to use, and it’s super convenient as it frees his hands and keeps him from having to always have the camera around his neck. I would DEFINITELY recommend this to active photographers.

I was given this as a gift a year or so ago and I can say with great confidence, that this is the best tool I've ever found to carry around a camera. I'm a professional photographer and use this system with a full-frame camera(Nikon D600) along with large lenses (including 70-200mm) on a very regular basis and I can say its superb! I've taken it on multi-day backpacking trips, done full day weddings, graduations, and the typical photo shoot, every time its added to my speed between shots, given me confidence when carrying other equipment, and has even sparked conversations with other photographers! The only thing I can say, is that when carrying around a heavy camera, I do wish I had the Spiderpro system as it can become uncomfortable after a while.

Resistant and easy to use. Using with my Nikon D610, 35mm lens and SB900 flash for weddings and outside photoshoots. Obviously, I think it's not recommended to jump, run or make some strong movements, but it's an amazing support while you need to do something with your hands free. Take care with metal pieces in your pants, that can scratch your camera, LCD or LCD protector. Belt isn't beautiful but keep your camera safe. An excellent purchase!

I use it with my Nikon D7000 and my D5100, and I am glad to be able to get away from a neck strap! You do have to put your hand over your camera every once in a while to keep from bumping into things like chairs or doorways, but I definitely don't think that is anywhere near as bad as it flopping around on a neck strap. You can also sit down comfortably with it too. If you don't want it to look to obvious that you are carrying a camera around and don't mind the fact that it is completely loose when you have it unhooked from your belt, (some people like the safety net of the neck strap), then I absolutely recommend it to anyone that isn't using very bulky equipment.

Used this holster on two international trips already on top of other day to day uses. Finally moved up to a higher grade Panasonic GF2 camera but couldn't fit it in my pocket like my previous point-and-shoots. Wearing the neck strap weighed me down and felt like I had a dog collar on. This holster keeps my camera and lens combo close to my body and out of the way at the same time. I can get the camera out of the holster, get the shot, and re-holster it in seconds. No longer have to deal with it swaying back and forth everytime I move like when using a strap. The holster goes everywhere the camera does and proves it's necessity every time I get a shot on the go. The built-in locking mechanism gives me confidence to think about and interact with the rest of the world when the camera is holstered instead of constantly guarding it against those who would take it given the opportunity. Only issue encountered after much use was the lock sticking open when it got dirty. Quick cleaning got it back to fully functional.

I couldn't justify the entire Pro setup in 1 splurge without trying the Spider holster setup, so I utilized the ProPlate with the BlackWidow holster as a compromise & I CANNOT complain. The holster is durable and the plate is awesome. I can't wait to upgrade.

Spider Holster makes a terrific product. My wife uses the Black Widow for her Canon SX20 IS camera and loves it. The ease of access and having the camera off her neck made having her camera available at all times complete painless. I use the Spider Holster PRO for my Canon 50D and a variety of lenses and love it.
