Well built but poorly designed

The battery unit is well made and mostly metal. The 15mm roda adaptor is light weight and functional. I have a few gripes though. There is only one Anton Bauer D-Tap connector. The main power ports are on the same side as the Black Magic connectors so its necessary to pull the plate back a bit to make it work well with the camera. My main disappointment is with the particular camera cable. First off its too short to use at all. To use the cable you would have to mount the plate on the back of the camera and if you were to mount the plate on the back of the camera you would not have access to the power ports because the cameras BNC connectors would be in the way. Also the cable is a very non professional in appearance 8 leads and two connectors-this is really designed to be hidden and the connectors are certainly not the type to handle the everyday stresses from work-as a matter of fact the connector arrived with a broken solder so the cable was non functioning out of the box. If it had more D-taps you could power the camera from the side D-Tap which you can do, it just eats up your one and only D-tap. so you have to use a D Tap splitter to make this work. I am a bit disappointed, but will [probably hang onto the unit because the camera does need a battery plate solution.
