I push myself and my equipment is along for the ride. My equipment is also my ?baby,? so I am very protective of it and am living every photographer?s dilemma trying to minimize bulk and weight, while maximizing protection and usability. Over the years, I?ve tried dedicated chest rigs and even Spider?s cheaper, plastic, versions. Nothing stood up well to earn my trust for use longer than the trial period, until this all-metal, Molle-compatible holster. The solid-metal construction is worth the price, as proven by its duty while summiting a 14-er in Colorado, rappelling in Mather Gorge in Virginia, and stumbling in the dark in Big Bend in Texas (which dislodged my hat, but not the camera). When your equipment dangles by a steel ball, what kind of holster would you trust it to?

I use one on each hip to offset the weight of my cameras in conjunction with my camera straps. I need long straps for this. I like the straps by Peak Design which easily allow me to unhook and also change configuration, because I?ll often hook one end to the side and the another end to the bottom of the camera. Works pretty well that way.

I’ve had the reg size belt for all my DSLR’s for prob 10 years now. This new smaller gauge belt for my mirrorless system is just perfect.

I have the pro version and got tired of the holster and needed something lighter as I switched to mirrorless. It's easy to transport and feels comfortable with my mirrorless fuji. Would recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable and easy holster to carry your camera.

I love my Spider Holster! It keeps me from setting my camera down mid session. I had a bad habit of putting my camera down on wherever surface or on the ground while arranging people or clothing on my shoots. My spider keeps my camera right by my side totally accessible and my camera is way cleaner. I won’t be shooting without one ever again.

I decided to try The Spider Camera Holster as an alternative to the neck straps after watching a couple of photo sessions from Lindsay Adler on Creative Live and since then, it has become one of my favorite gadgets for my shootings. It allows me carrying my camera and being comfortable at the same time.

Adjustable fit, locks camera in place. Beware though! I accidentally bumped it out of locked position and my brand new Sony was sent tumbling to the ground. Also the screw on plate comes loose, even after tightening well. I have to check it every shoot.

Well-designed holster that allows attaching your camera to your belt. I previously bought the Backpacker and wanted an additional holster so that I could leave it on my backpack. Also, I can now attach my 100-400 lens (with my Spiderpro plate) to one holster and my camera with another lens to the other holster.

Love the holster! No more fumbling with tangled camera and binoculars straps! My only issue is that the description was not clear on the plate that mounts to the camera body. After a couple of emails to Spider and reading through forums, Spider Product Support informed me that I needed the SpiderPro plate for my Sony RX10 camera. I’m waiting anxiously for the Pro plate!

The Spider Holster is simple to use - picking up the camera is an easy move and placing the camera in the holster is even easier. The camera sits horizontal with the lens facing backward so it does not bump on your leg and brush, etc., you are walking by does not do any damage. Much better for your shoulders and neck vs conventional straps, especially with a heavy lens.

I am satisfied with my holster purchase. I also purchased the hand strap. I personally would like to see the strap not interfere with the battery compartment if they would make a new strap. Other then this I am pleased with the purchase.

This kit is so versatile. It can be used on the straps of a backpack to hold a DSLR, irrorless or GoPro or the camera clip can be removed easily and used on a belt. This is one of the main reasons I bought it. In addition, The camera attachment bracket is perfect for the mirrorless camera I am planning on buying soon. Another great product from Spider!

This is one of those things I wanted before I knew it existed. Having the camera on the bag strap lets me photograph my kids but also switch to parent in a second. I can even carry a kid with the camera holstered and no worries. It's also useful if you're hiking or shooting street photography. Bonus with the GoPro holster.

The SpiderLight Backpacker Kit is a very functional product which makes it possible to conveniently carry your camera, take weight from your back, and access your camera quickly. The holster was somewhat difficult to remove from the backpack to my belt, but that is probably a good thing because it means that it should not slip from my belt. I am definitely enjoying using it and am happy with my purchase. The instructions and video were confusing and did not completely reflect the current version of the product - it is actually far easier to assemble than the instructions made it appear.
