The aerosol spray did a good job. Bit tricky at times keeping the can upright so you may need an assistant. Allow 15 minutes between coats to let the stain appear or it can be easy to over-apply. Overall I was able to achieve a good purple-tan. It lead to many enquiries about why I was purple. Lots of fun responses available ie. "I ate too many plums", "got my tattoo finished", "a bit too much sun", "Australian Easter tradition" or my favourite "no idea, was supposed to be green"

Just a simple press away, the Sirchie Ninhydrin Latent Print Aerosol Spray (6 oz) is a globally recognized and extensively used solution for revealing hidden fingerprints. This powerful forensic tool has a proven track record of developing prints that are over two years old in real-life investigations, and astonishingly, it has even brought to light 50-year-old prints in experimental scenarios.
The unique formulation of ninhydrin in this aerosol spray is designed to react with the amino acids present in fingerprints, producing a distinctive purple-tan color that makes the prints visible. This color change has been known to spark curiosity and conversation, as it can be mistaken for a variety of amusing scenarios, from overindulging in plums to a fresh tattoo or a sunburn.
Packaged in a user-friendly aerosol can, the Sirchie Ninhydrin Spray ensures a longer shelf life and offers the convenience of easy application, whether in a field investigation or a laboratory setting. However, it's worth noting that the can must be kept upright during use for optimal performance.
Remember to allow a 15-minute interval between applications to let the stain appear properly. This will prevent over-application and ensure the best results. With the Sirchie Ninhydrin Latent Print Aerosol Spray, uncovering hidden prints has never been easier or more effective.
