The most important aspect of this device is it works. It keeps the binoculars far more stable when hand held. I use my binoculars mostly for hunting, so that is critical. Also on the positive side, the device is small enough that I can still use regular chest rig or neoprene cover with the binoculars, even though I am a bit worried about it holding up if I have to crawl into a shooting position, or just lie down to shoot. I know my binoculars can handle it, but there is not much to the forehead rest. Also, the connection is not great. At least on the EL version, there is a screw. This just slides into place. And, it does not pop/lock like instructions say (users on forums all over say the same thing). I have to wonder what is being left loose since two screws came out of the binoculars, but two pins are in their place. Finally, it is ridiculously expensive for what it is. Using a grip that holds binoculars and the brim of a ballcap together accomplishes about the same thing. But if you don't wear a hard brimmed hat, then it is the best stabilizer I have found for hand held glassing (in addition to locking elbows on knees, etc).
