Sirchie BlueMaxx 2.5x Evidence Viewer, 220V

The Sirchie BLUEMAXX Evidence Viewer (220 V) features a self-contained device that incorporates a wide field 2.5x magnifier and two built-in light sources - two 1-watt white lights for examining objects under normal lighting and a 3- watt BLUEMAXX light for viewing fluorescent materials and DFO treated latent prints. Its lightweight, compact design permits freedom of movement and the magnification reduces eyestrain as objects are examined. Developed latent prints on a multi-colored or confusing background have often plagued latent print examiners when photographs are taken.

With BLUEMAXX illumination, much of the background is dropped out in photographs. Fashioned from brushed nickeloid and tough, opaque acrylic, the BMV100220 reduces eyestrain with its large 4" magnifying lens. Lighting is provided by two 1-watt LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) behind a built-in diffusion lens to soften the illumination and one 3- watt BLUEMAXX LED making it an ideal light source for photography and viewing. The BLUEMAXX light (approx. 455 nm) and white lights are individually operated from a rear mounted control panel. The LEDs never need replacement.
