Five star all the way! Very smooth movements in all directions. Works well on a tri or mono pod. leveling bubbles are a great help. Comes with a nice and handy carry bag which helps fit it into the camera bag.

Yes, you can rotate the ball head for panning, but you must loosen the main adjustment knob while not altering the other movements while doing so. And, yes, this will fit Manfrotto tripods. It's on the large size and is a good match for the 055, or larger, size legs.

Very smooth operator, no roughness on the ball. It replaces the small, inexpensive ball heads I have previously played with for travel photography. Also makes a great head for my monopod. Easily supports my 5D3 with a short zoom. Use a 1/4-20 - 3/8-16 adapter for tabletop supports such as a Gorillapod 5K

Bought the Sirui K-20X Ballhead just before Christmas, so I've only been able to use it a couple of times. Easy to attach to my SLIK tripod. Pretty intuitive to use. I had no problems adjusting the head as needed. I love the quick release. I'm looking forward to the spring/summer as I venture into macro photography.

It's a great product and perfect fit for my day to day shoot. Whether it's portraits, landscapes or astro. It's perfect for my heavy lenses like canon 70-200 f/2.8 as well as ones which are lighter like canon 16-35 f/2.8 . I really like this and working great with my Sirui Tripod.

Small and light, I use this on my travel tripod. Good controls and holds quite a bit of weight steady. Very impressive for a smaller head

I purchased the K-20X to use with my Skytracker and a 7.6lb camera/lens combo and it is as smooth as silk and locks tight. I also own the K-40X. Great gear at a fraction of the price.

It's easy to use, rotates very smoothly and effortlessly. Really like the one knob feature for pressure and tension.

I use Sirui bullheads on all my tripods. I've found them to be better than far more expensive bullheads, all of which I've sold and replaced with Sirui. When buying Sirui, check the photos and specs carefully. Seemingly similar Sirui ballheads will have more or fewer levels on them. If levels on the bullhead are important to you, make sure you are getting one with levels where you want them.

This is the head to have . It is silky smooth, And the control knobs are very positive . It holds a D-800 with Nikon 70-200 in any position without any slip . I can't say anything bad about this item and I am a very fussy person about quality . I am 83 years old and have had a number of heads in my day and this is the best one to date .

I paired this head with the Sirui W-1204 and I'm quite happy with the setup. The ball is large enough to ensure fluid movement while not being too heavy. Even when the tension on the ball is released, it has enough hold that the weight of the camera doesn't violently drop to the side. The "landscape" bubble level on the back is appreciated. However, the "portrait" bubble level is comically tiny. The ARCA release plate gives confidence that my gear will stay put. A final benefit, the plate from my Peak Designs Capture clip works great on this head (however the Sirui plate won't work with the Capture clip). I do wish the head had another notch for turning the camera vertical.

While everyone wants a deal, this ball head is one. I've been a huge fan of RRS, but it never made sense to me to spend money on gear that was going to be thrashed. This ball head has made it through ocean salt, mountain -neg temps, and supported 5DIII and 300mm f/2.8 lens without issues. It's smooth, my copy is and tune-able to my liking. It's a medium heavy head, that can be used strapped to a pack. There are lighter, but I'm a bit of an overkill gear head. More of a practical review mindset not a tech-head scientist. While I do have RRS ball heads costing 6x's as much, this ball head is quality that will not disappoint 90% of you.

highly recommended. i began buying sirui products a couple of years ago and have not been disappointed with any of them. the fit and finish and ease of use is excellent. the k-40 will handle anything you can put on it. i bought the k-20 to use on my travel tripod. it's a little lighter but still handles anything i carry. you will not regret buying these items.

I just received this product the other day and I am still getting used to it. It is very sturdy and seems to be something I will keep for a long time. I will review again after I use it for a while.
