This is one of the finest examples of precision machining I have seen coming out of Zhongshan China. This Alloy tripod, the one I received was FLAWLESS. It was as if this tripod was made to be packed with Zeiss lenses and taken to the moon. It met and truly surpassed the fit and finish I see at RRS, a wonderful American company, and told them to embrace Siriu as a very serious and superb competitor in a marketplace racing towards mediocrity. As an aside, RRS L Brackets work great with the superb K series Siriu Ball Heads, a wonderful complement for superior standards. This reminds me of when the Japanese poor quality transistor radios in 1969 permeated the market, than...they got their act together and killed the US Auto industry in the mid 1980's. Siriu products are that good. So good, so finely crafted, so well machined and finished... That I am buying their M3204 in carbon fiber to use in the studio and take the Alloy model on landscape shoots.
