I received this filter today and screwed it onto my 17-40L Canon lens. The filter arrived in a square plastic box with a foam insert with a circular cutout. The filter had clear plastic front and back to protect it. I have not ordered many filters but I've never seen one so well packed. The filter threaded on to the lens easily and the lens cap snapped on to it. I haven't taken any photos yet to comment on that. Otherwise it was round and clear.
