Until now it has only been possible to take digital photographs of what is observed through binoculars with either a lot of time or a lot of luck. The "Snap Shot Adapter", developed by Swarovski Optik, is an ergonomic and sophisticated ring that turns the binocular into an objective lens.

All that is necessary for long-distance snapshots, in addition to the appropriate "Snap Shot Adapter", is a binocular and a digital camera with an extendable optical zoom. The "Snap Shot Adapter" is centered on the camera's extended lens by turning the control disk and is then pushed onto the binoculars' twist-in eyecup, which has been twisted out to receive it.
