Sturdy and well marked. Overall happy, I wish that there were an arrow rmto more precisely measure the tilt angle, and that the panning were slightly smoother.

With a properly balanced rig equipped with an adequately long Arca Swiss style plate or foot, this head is the next best thing to a decent gimbal head for moving a rig with apparent weightlessness. Yet it is a fraction of the cost or bulk of a decent gimbal head. (Since it lacks baring's, its motion is not quite as smoot, but its size renders it lighter and for some purposes more desirable than that larger type of head.) Its most significant drawbacks relate to its lack of standard counter sunk indentations in its upper surface on either side of its center to allow use of slightly shorter standard Arca Swiss style plates equipped with standard bottom screws for preventing accidental slipping out of its clamp when that clamp is loosened sufficiently to adjust the balance of the rigs to which it is attached, and the presence of its proprietary safety device, which can occasionally get in the way when positioning standard Arca Swiss style plates in its clamp. Despite those deficits, I know of only one other model of pan-and-tilt head which can be used as well as this one for aiming and balanced a rig consisting of a telephoto lens, digital camera, and whatever additional accessories are attached to them, that are equipped with a standard Arca Swiss style plate or foot, as this one does. (That other model doesn't move quite as freely as the Sigmas, despite its lack of the above described drawbacks, rendering the two about a toss up in my opinion.) I suspect that, with the amount of break-in of my used Sigmas, it would likely move as smoothly. I bought several of these Sigma heads used at considerably below new prices before I discovered that competitor, and see no adequate reason to exchange my Sigmas for that other brand. Either of those two models is far superior, in combination with an image stabilized rig and a monopod to such a rig equipped with either a headless monopod or a monopod equipped only with a tilt head for supporting and tracking moving (or potentially moving) creatures. Either is far lighter and more compact than a monopod equipped with a gimbal head. It is for these reasons that I consider both models to rate five stars.

Great head for landscape photography. It DOES WORK WITH ACRA SWISS L BRACKET. At least with my Small Rig on the EOS R6. Very well made and works great.

Terrific tilt head! It?s so versatile and allows you to move your camera in all different angles while still maintaining stability. I highly recommend this tilt head!

This pan tilt head is a well designed pice of kit, if you only do 1 or 2 type of photography. I don’t like this because of its limitations. I can’t use my L-Bracket.

Well finished smooth even movement on both tilt and rotating. On my large tripod and 200-500mm zoom it is close to my gimbal in movement but have to lock before I let go of camera. On small tripod nice for 50-250 Z mount zoom and 105mm micro on FTZ as well as wide angle landscape.

The Sirui L-20S is exactly what I needed for my Sirui monopod. It is built like a tank! I am so glad I purchased it. It is very smooth and fluid. Any angle or position I need to take the shot is obtainable. A fantastic tilt head!

This clamp on this head is not Arca Swiss compatible. Neither a 60mm Arca Swiss plate or the 65mm vertical plate on my L bracket will attach. It lacks the grooves found on Arca Swiss clamps. This is a propriety device. I jury rigged a solution by attaching a Acra Swiss clamp to the Sirui plate.

I purchased this head to ensure my Canon 300 mm f2.8L would be stable on my monopod. Head feels great and much better than my previous manofrotto. However, note that you need to replace the 1/4 inch camera screw since it is difficult to hand tightening. One must utilize some pliers or a tool to tighten adequately. I purchased a new Induro $ screw and can hand tighten without a tool (Induro DM-RPL-14 1/4"-20 Camera Screw for DM-Series QR Plate). This is the reason it is rated a 4 vs a 5. Otherwise, I am very happy with the purchase.

I was vacillating for awhile between the Sirui L10 or the Sirui L-20s tilt head. The L10 doesn't have the panorama function the L-20s does and I couldn't understand why panorama, however I do have the Sirui P-204s Monopod and with the leg extension in use this feature is very useful, so I glad I spent the extra bucks. The friction knob holds the camera very solidly without over tightening, in fact I mount my Pentax 645N with a 120mm macro lens and it didn't slip a bit again without over tightening. Verily impressed with this head!

I have had the L-20S for a few weeks now and wished that I had purchsed this head sooner. This head is well contructed of quality materials with a nice fit and finish. Operation of controls are smooth and progressive. Before the L-20S, my primary head was a Manfrotto MHXPRO-3WG Geared Head, which I found to be well made, but less refined and a bit fussy to adjust for my equipment. Overall, the L-20S is a great value, and I do not hesitate to recommend it.

This is one of those items you never thought you needed until you got one. I was getting tired of trying to level large cameras with ballheads and decided to use a leveling base and this head instead. This allows me to accurately and securely level on two axis independently of one another. It's fast, it's simple, and it works great. This product is VERY well made and a joy to use.
