I have very good results with this filter.  As with most of these v-nd filters there is not mechanical stop at the low and high end so be sure you don't overshoot so you don't get some weird artifacts.  I spent some time doing landscape of Mt. Haines near sunrise in Yellowstone's Madison Valley using a Nikon D810 and Nikon 24-120mm lens.  Long shutter speeds at 8 stops produced a very nice effect in the river and the colors of the rising sun on Mt. Haines were spot on and vibrant.  Very nice filter.
