This ensures your equipment remains secure against water, dust, heat, chemicals, and impact forces.Inside, the case features a high-strength aluminum alloy extrusion frame, complemented by 11 gauge hot rolled carbon steel rack rails that adhere to the EIA-310 standards for electronic equipment. The rack rails are designed with a universal 19" width and accommodate both #10-32 US standard and 6mm International standard cage nuts, which are included for your convenience.The 3RS Series case is specifically engineered to mitigate shock and vibration, safeguarding your equipment during transit. It achieves this through eight elastomeric isolators, rated for a payload range of 40 lbs to 150 lbs. For those with heavier equipment, an optional extended payload range of 160 lbs to 300 lbs is available upon special order.The thoughtful design extends to the case's heat dissipation capabilities, with an interior frame that allows for adequate sway space, promoting ambient air circulation. The case's 20" depth from rail to rail provides ample space for your gear, while the 2" deep front and rear lids accommodate equipment that extends beyond the standard depth.Durability is a hallmark of the 3RS Series, with its rugged roto-molded shell offering industry-leading impact resistance. The case features molded-in stacking ribs and lugs, enabling secure stacking with other SKB 3RR and 3RS cases, as well as cases from competitive manufacturers.Ease of transport is a key feature, with four comfort grip spring-loaded lift handles and black powder-coated stainless steel hardware that is recessed to prevent damage. The automatic pressure relief valve adjusts to changing environmental conditions, while the gasket-sealed lids with lid hangers make for convenient access during operation.
