The SKB 3RS Series 7U 20" Static Shock Rack Transport Case in Black is a robust solution for safeguarding and transporting your sensitive electronic equipment. Available in a variety of sizes, from 3U to 14U, these Shock Racks are designed to be lightweight yet resilient, offering protection against water, dust, heat, and chemicals. Constructed with a high-strength aluminum alloy inner rack chassis, these cases are not only lightweight but also incredibly durable. The 11-gauge hot-rolled carbon steel rack rails adhere to EIA-310 standards, ensuring compatibility with a wide range of equipment. Vibration and shock mitigation is achieved through eight elastomeric isolators, rated for a payload range of 40 lbs to 150 lbs. An optional extended payload range of 160 lbs to 300 lbs can also be accommodated, providing flexibility for various equipment weights. The interior frame and shocks allow for sufficient sway space, promoting ambient air circulation and heat dissipation. The 3RS Series cases are crafted from LMDP Linear Medium Density Polyethylene plastic, meeting or exceeding MIL-STD 810G standards for superior resilience. With a depth of 20" from rail to rail and a standard 19" rack width per ANSI/EIA-310-C specification, these Shock Racks are designed to accommodate a wide range of equipment. The square-hole rack rails are compatible with both #10-32 US standard and 6mm International standard cage nuts, which are included with the cases. The rugged roto-molded shell provides industry-leading strength and impact resistance, while the 2" deep front and rear lids accommodate rack gear that exceeds 20" in length. The cases also feature molded-in stacking ribs and lugs, allowing for secure stacking with all SKB 3RR and 3RS cases, as well as cases from competitive manufacturers. Finished with black powder-coated stainless steel hardware that is recessed for protection, and equipped with four comfort grip spring-loaded lift handles, these cases are easy to transport. An automatic pressure relief valve and gasket-sealed lids with convenient lid hangers are standard features, enhancing usability and protection. Coupling straps are also included for secure stacking.
