Let the Sky-Watcher Heliostar 76mm f/8.3 H-Alpha Solar Telescope illuminate your solar observations with unparalleled precision and clarity. This dedicated Hydrogen-alpha (Ha) solar telescope is a standout addition to the Sky-Watcher lineup, offering enthusiasts the ability to explore the Sun's dynamic surface in extraordinary detail. Unlike standard white-light solar filters, the Heliostar 76mm Ha telescope allows you to witness the Sun's fascinating phenomena, including solar prominences, active sunspot regions, bright plage patches, surface granulation, and intricate plasma filaments.
Perfectly timed for the solar maximum in 2025, the Heliostar 76Ha comes equipped with a comprehensive set of accessories, ensuring you are ready for solar viewing right out of the box. Included are mounting rings, a V-style dovetail, a Heliostar solar finder, a dual-speed Crayford focuser, an 11.5mm blocking filter, a clip-on sunshade, a 20mm 70-degree 1.25" eyepiece, and a camera phone adapter for capturing and sharing stunning solar images. All components are conveniently housed in a rugged carrying case, making the Heliostar 76 an ideal companion for on-the-go solar exploration. Pair it with the Sky-Watcher SolarQuest mount for an ultimate portable solar telescope setup.
Recognized as the Official Solar Telescope of the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project, the Heliostar 76mm Ha Solar Telescope offers exceptional double-stack performance without the need for an additional etalon filter. This innovative design provides users with enhanced solar observation capabilities at a fraction of the cost.
Safety is paramount with the Sky-Watcher Heliostar 76mm H-Alpha Solar Telescope, which meets ISO 12312-2 safety standards. Each unit undergoes rigorous testing on the actual Sun to ensure safe solar viewing. The 11.5mm blocking filter in the removable eyepiece diagonal is a crucial safety feature, and it is essential to use it as directed to prevent serious eye damage.
The Heliostar utilizes advanced Hydrogen Alpha technology, observing the Sun at the 656.3 nm wavelength, crucial for studying solar phenomena in the chromosphere. The etalon filter, a core component of Ha solar telescopes, isolates this wavelength, allowing for detailed observation of solar dynamics. Sky-Watcher's Solis technology achieves a 0.55A bandpass, delivering detailed solar disk images without the need for a second etalon.
Inside the Heliostar, the Trifid tuning system applies precise pressure to the etalon plates, enabling accurate tuning to the desired Hydrogen-band. This system, supported by three veins, ensures secure and reliable tuning for optimal solar observation.
Experience the Sun like never before with the Sky-Watcher Heliostar 76mm f/8.3 H-Alpha Solar Telescope, a powerful tool for both amateur and seasoned solar astronomers.
