If you are only going to mount a light weight camera on the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer then you need this part. If you purchase the Sky-Watcher Star Adventurer Astro Package you don't need this accessory.

Useful and study
Not a lot of experience with alternative similar components, but so far this seems sturdily constructed and reliable. Adorama order and shipping speed were great, as usual.
